Devilemperor absolutely agree. However slowly being realised now after Bob Jovi how good he really is.Think leaving Bon Jovi made people realise how good he really is.

hardly underrated, his solos and riffs are played in music shops everywhere, and makes the top end of most guitarists charts.

@Ayatollah7800 underrated by the guitarist-society. Everybody think that the wilder solos are good, but the rhytmic solos are much better, just like richie plays.I think this is why he is 'underrated'.

What kind of guitar is the black one that has the open end triangle shape at the end of the neck? Nice looking guitar Richie is the best by the way… great sense of humor, humble and amazing guitarist!!!

That Floyd guitar based off the Jersey Star is killer

Yea i agree but it would be better if he went back to using the old Kramer Jersey star guitars that he once owned and it would be even cool if he partnered with Kramer again to bring back the Jersey star signature series.

@RianaRocketQueen: I know this might be just a shot in the dark, since this video is about 13 years old, but I was wondering if you can tell me when exactely this was shot. It's 2005 or 2006 for sure, but I'd need to know the month or day if possibile. Thanks

@The77SpaceMan Well, he has been featured in just about every guitar-magazine there is...multiple times! And the same magazines vote Page and Clapton the best guitarists of all time, although they never have been playing fast. Take a look at other guitarists fans - they are complaining about their heroes being underrated as well.

Great guitarist, it's just such a shame he stopped pushing the boundaries a long time ago, choosing to stay in his comfort zone. Consider a guitarist like Slash, who's really pushed the boat out over the years, it's a shame Richie couldn't try a little harder to experiment and push the music.

Dylan Jones richie is an employee of a corporation. That corporation being bon Jovi. So he has to play the way he's told. Bon Jovi is not a band.

I think Phil X, current Bon Jovi guitarist is a better example of being restricted by the JBJ corporation. That guy is phenomenal, yet his work with the band is sub standard. If he were allowed to make his mark on an album, it'd be as exciting as it was in Sambora's prime.

Dylan Jones was a great guitar on his time 80'$ 90'$ If he were decided to be modern progressive guitar player blues rock, but no he was from the classic lineup guitarrist! He never pretended to be modern guitar player, he only re adapted his blue style to modern sounds like rock alternative and similar styles, he had no idea jow was going to be his life in the marriage, he fucked his own life since he was married with heather lockear!

That guitar Richie created has the most awful tone I have heard. Nowadays Richie has dropped It completely returning to his vintage Fenders and Gibsons. Good thinking Richie. Now please publish your new album already.
