Vrijdag 8 november waren ze live bij Evers Staat Op en wat was het hysterisch! Het hele Radio 538 pand was omsingeld door Backstreet Boys fans die vanuit het hele land naar Hilversum waren gereisd. Nick, AJ, Kevin, Brain en Howie zongen voor 't eerst live de akoestische versie van hun nieuwe single Show 'Em (What You're Made Of) en de wereldhit As Long As You Love Me.

It's nice to see that none of these guys have put their life in the toilet. They're all still doing relatively well. I feel bad for people born after 2000. These guys were the biggest group in the world in 1997. Bigger than Justin Bieber or any singer today. They were EVERYWHERE and they deserved it. They're fantastic singers.

maybe i sound cheesy, but i grew up with bsb, westlife and others like them and although i listen to almost any kind of music now, including opera, kpop, hiphop, chinesse music etc, from time to time i go back to a bsb song. it has been almost a year since i've listened to bsb last time, but i will always have a warm feeling whenever i'll hear them singing live. and whatever other people say or believe, i do think they have nice voices, even husky brian here, and, most important, their voices are matching one another and they make a heavenly mixture. bsb - always in harmony.

kevin, the smooth country sound that blends with everyone, even tho his job is providing the bassline. howie, the latin sound that brings the spicy, even tho his job are usually the higher notes. brian, the center of everybody for a reason. he has the most leads in the group, even tho he has vocal cord dysphonia disease which puts a strain on his lower/midrange vocals, but he can almost nail his higher octaves. aj, the soulful/powerhouse/rockstar bad boy of the group, even tho he usually joins kevin. so ofc there's nick, the baby BSB who can sing high&low, his sound is unique and he is what makes them whole. altogether, they're my kings :)

That's a GREAT decision for Brian to sing his part in falsetto. Since In A World Like This Tour started in China last May, I noticed that he's more having trouble singing normally (cracking, weak, not powerful) but he sounds great when he sings falsetto. I thought it might be a great move for him to sing his parts that way until his normal voice (if this will happen) to get back to normal and that's what happening now. I know I know... that might sounds weird and weak but you'll get used to it anyway as time passes and as like me i'm loving it now more than he started doing it. I watched almost all of their performances since January up to now of this year (including their past performances during their past tours) so i know what he's going through.
