Everybody brought something to the table as far as vocals, but Brian definitely had the best vocals. Which was probably the reason he was The lead singer and lead vocalist in most of their songs.

Disagree on a whole another level. Brian though had the best vocals for like 1996-1999. But then he had many inconsistencies from 2001 moving onwards. In this song, you can totally hear Nick Carter having the main chorus voice as well. He wasn't the lead singer. There were 3 leads. Brian was first lead for only 1st album but 2nd album, Nick and AJ were starting to sing more than Brian did to the point Nick was their lead singer from Never Gone onwards.

I really did too especially listening to them now well their older stuff now I really can hear who I like more! It’s true though they always had everyone in the right place in their music I feel like and with them I didn’t feel like there was a lead singer I feel like several of them got a good amount of parts, where as in i sync I think JT got a lot of the spotlight even though I think JC was just as good if not a better singer than him back then I don’t know about now

I remember being like 7 or 8 years old, watching this video on the Disney channel, absolutely singing my heart out cause I was the only one home and then shutting up towards the end cause the rest of my family pulled up in the driveway and I didn't want them to hear me. Agreed! Every live performance Nick kills his parts now. And his vocals have much more raspiness now. INCOMPLETE chorus is one of Nick's best solo parts imo. It has so much soul in it.

I took guitar lessons when I was 10 years old with a friend Lou Pearlman. His parents invited me over for dinner and told me to bring my guitar. My friend Lou takes me into his room and he introduces me to his couisin, Art Garfunkel (of Simon and Garfunkel). I had NO idea who he was - I think they had just released their first album. Still have his autograph. And Lou went on to form The Backstreet Boys and several other boy bands. He also worked with Brittany at his studio/mansion in Florida. Unfortunately, he died in Federal prison for running a Ponzi sceme. Hand on the bible - true story.

It's not even close. Nick had the best voice by far...a natural rasp that you can't teach. It's why he got the meat of the lyrics in each song and also had the most solos by far. Listen to the live performanceanwhen their just sitting and singing and it will become very clear.

They all are/were great vocalists especially 4/5 were really technically gifted but Nick Carter for sure is their strongest singer right now with Howie as close second. Nick Carter today in general is the best boyband singer I have ever seen as well as the most versatile. Sings better than any boyband member ever did in their primes.

Hi new best friend!! The Backstreet Boys were my childhood! Them along with as you stated Nsync, Britney Spears, Spice girls, were all a huge part of my childhood! I actually went to see the Backstreet Boys in concert back in 2014 for my 21st birthday present! It was an amazing show, and especially being surrounded by all these fellow Backstreet Boys fans such as myself who grew up listening to their music just as I did! Both groups harmonized well, N sync were better dancers, I think Backstreet had better music. Brian from Backstreet had one of the purest voices at the time.

NSYNC not necessarily were better dancers because you can't really compare. And here's why. NSYNC's songs had a faster tempo while BSB's songs were never that fast to have those intense choreos. It's more of that NSYNC had songs that needed strong choreos while BSB didn't and that's why you never saw BSB's full potential as dancers. You can see Nick Carter dance on Dancing With the Stars and believe me, no NSYNC member is as good in dancing as Nick Carter.

@@SavyReacts yeah they were experimenting with a lot of new sounds with that album.. one of the main reasons is because Brian no longer can carry that iconic backstreet sound that everyone loves. But I do hope for their 30th anniversary album they end up telling a story about their career and also bring back max martin to help them create the album as well.

@@SavyReacts I mean.... As a musician myself, I find it really hilarious when someone says that Justin was a better singer than Nick. If you have listened to Nick on Masked Singer, he sings way better than both JC or Justin ever did. Even in their primes, Nick was a way stronger vocalist than Justin at least.

@@SavyReacts Plus let's be honest, Justin could never belt. He would unnecessarily fell in falsettos and would never ever belt in fuller voice unlike Nick who would take all sorts of vocal risks. Justin wasn't a good singer during NSYNC days at all, he definitely improved now. But considering you were a NSYNC fan first, I can understand.

Not AJ though. More likely Nick and Howie. AJ has been a little inconsistent in recent years with pitch and stuff. Howie on the other hand is singing leads as well and is pitch perfect vocally. AJ is pretty great as well today when he wants to be but often he is inconsistent. There's a reason why Steve Aoki chose Nick and Howie as leads for his song. AJ often has problems with control nowadays, the criteria where Nick Carter and Howie Dorough prevail.
