He's reserved, shy and has anxiety. He will talk if he needs to, but doesn't want to talk preferably. I can't tell if he is a natural introvert. He could be very anxious. He could really want to talk more inside, but is terrified to speak to others whom he doesn't know well

If I'm correct, in some past interviews, Nick and AJ tried to put Howie on the spot to bring him out of his shell more. He tried to do what they suggested he do, but it was obvious that he was nervous and uncomfortable doing those things.
