I really love the way that Bob Gale talks about not doing another BTTF movie, i completely agree with him. Hollywood, Universal or Disney would destroy the BTTF franchise with another movie. It's the perfect trilogy and don't touch it. thank you!
@marksapollo Жыл бұрын
I suspect they will remake it, they remake every bloody thing else! And ruin it usually. Nothing can replace this gem of a trilogy for me though. If Disney made it they would recast everyone to ensure ‘diversity’ and ‘inclusion’ and inter woke values, and probably wreck the story and script, most likely change the lead character to a ‘strong independent women’.
@S.O.N.E11 ай бұрын
@marksapollo Nah, it would just be a poorly written and directed CGI fest crap fest. Maybe Biff would be cast as a black trans woman but thats about as diverse as it would get.

Its bugged me for years that I always thought the scene where 2015 Biff is watching his 1955 self collect his car from Terry that the camera angles look tight and you don't see enough of the square. I've always suspected that the rest of the square was still set up as Biffhorrific Hill Valley or 2015 Hill Valley, but I've never found any evidence of this. Until now! at 4:00 you can clearly see Zemeckis directing Tom Wilson in the scene with the Biff Museum Casino set behind him. Yay!!! Sorry, maybe I shouldn't be so excited about that!!! 😂😂😂

Wow great catch! I love discovering the little details like that!
@kilroy9875 ай бұрын
Waiting for everything to be converted back to 1955 would probably have put him off schedule. Zemeckis probably scheduled things along the critical path to the finest of detail. With a capable crew and team leaders to pull it off.

Considering the great look we get at 1955 Hill Valley's Courthouse Square in the first movie it'd be kinda pointless to see it again in BTTF2. I think they made the right call keeping the camera pointed towards the Western Auto side of the square and only showing the courthouse in the ending's reused footage. Side note: Wish we got a better look at 1985A's square... its so dark and the camera's pulled way out. They go through all the trouble of decorating the square to look filthy and apocalyptic but barely let us see it.

Motion control photography had pretty much matured at that point. John Dykstra's Dykstraflex was the first of that kind, used in the very first Star Wars movie.

While I'm glad this was shared as a time capsule, I'm so glad behind-the-scenes footage isn't made this way anymore. Overproduced Electronic Press Kits with glossy voiceover by a talking head and barely any behind-the-scenes footage. Lengthy retreads of the plot so the news directors understand it while the creative people behind the film are lucky to get pull quotes, forget about a 15-20 minute conversation.

It's funny to me because who knew that Part II played such an important piece in Hollywood history because of things like the vista glide. Part of the film magic is that the machine toys with the split screen concept quite a bit, and you're going to need to watch the movie not just multiple times, but about as many times as I've seen it to realize they actually do several split screen scenes mixed in with the filming. You can't really say that this idea was copycat for other movies coming out during the 90s and early 2000s, but that was harder to do than CGI back in 1988/89 when Part II and III were being shot. Everything in the kitchen scene for the 2015 segment was actually glued down, and on top of that, there was an earthquake in the middle of a three day shoot, which was why they ended up gluing everything down.....

Who are the people in Hollywood that heard the story of BTTF and thought it wasn’t a good idea? I hope they lost their jobs but judging from some of the sh*t that has been pumped out in the subsequent years I’m guessing they got raises.

I heard somewhere once that there was an idea floating around of BTTF 4 that would center more around Doc Brown rather then Marty due to Fox's condition with parkinsons. I never heard anything else about it. I figure they decided to not tarnish the story or the trilogy.
