It sounds like you are trying to pull a vacuum and as you said, no one breaths in when they play. If you are pressurizing the clarinet, what pressure are you looking for it to maintain with typical force on the keys?

Can a leak be responsible for some sort of "metallic" by-tone? Even though I bring my clarinet in every year for a check up maintenance, I've been having issues with hearing some sort of tone whenever I play the notes F->C In the upper register. I've tried everything... changing reeds and reed strength, changing mouthpiece, changing ligature en changing clarinets (I play on a festival but have a spare RC lying around). But the tone persists one way or another. I've been playing for near 15 years now and I've never noticed this before and it's really bumming me out...

There are so many different tenon cork suppliers out there now, I'm wondering what is the best and where to get it ? Synthetic ?

My clarinets e in the top space sticks out a lot but my person that worked on overhauling said he wasn't going to fill it in because it was already pretty in tune and it'd prolly get too flat, is there anything that can be done

I was wondering about soft palate air leak sounds oh, am I the only one that can hear him as the player or can people listening to me hear those soft palate sounds as well? And I find a lot of videos or information about that

I guess “2” is an acceptable amount of leakage for the entire clarinet. Anything above 2 is considered too much of a leak.

No I don't think so. It leaked in two places
