Backup camera installation on 2009-2014 ford f150 truck. Installed on my Kenwood DMX4707S head unit

Installed a Kenwood DMX4707S touchscreen receiver, SiriusXM tuner and a Natika aftermarket backup camera on my 2011 Ford f150. This should be the same for 2009-2014 models of f150, f250, f350, f450. This video shows some overview of the install process of the backup camera only. I did include a list of all items required for the full stereo and backup camera installation.
I used the 12v outlet for powering the camera as it is on ignition power. I cut the wires off at the factory plug connector and soldered the red to red and black to black and uses shrink wrap to seal the connections.
I then wrapped electrical tape around the camera wiring and The power wires. I pulled up the carpet and there is a hole exiting the floor pan on the drivers side with just a small piece of tape over it. Use some RTP sealant to fill that hole on the inside and from the bottom. Clean around the hole with some rubbing alcohol prior to applying the sealant.
Run the wiring along the frame rail and zip tie to the factory wiring.
Remove the existing ford logo emblem from the back tailgate.
There are 2 square holes under the foam. Press the metal inserts into these square holes (these will be used to screw the camera assembly into the tailgate. Poke a small hole in the foam and carefully feed the wiring from the camera down through the tailgate. If you open the tailgate you will find a square/rectangular opening at the bottom of the tailgate. You will need to jiggle the cabling from the emblem side and feel around in this opening for the wiring. Pull it through and feed through the other opening on the frame of the truck directly next to this opening. I chose to install some additional cable wrap/wire loom here in this area that will have some flex whenever the tailgate is opened or closed. This gives a bit more protection.
Connect the wiring that was run from the front to the wiring off of the camera near the spare tire. Wrap up the extra slack and zip tie. I then zip tied the coil of extra up into the void near the factory wiring as pictured in the video.
Connect the rca (yellow) video plug to the video input on your stereo/head unit. The factory adapter wiring to your head unit will trigger the camera to come on when the vehicle is put in reverse.

there’s a wire loop on the camera wire that you can snip so you don’t have 2 different guidelines

My 2012 has a backup factory through my rear view mirror. I just ordered my new double din. Will my old camera still work on my rear view?

I’m almost positive that Nissan never had a factory rear view mirror. You should find a video input cable from the rear view when you pull the factory stereo. Connect that to the camera port and it should still work.
