Backwards Up in Arms Against Telangana Caste Survey Over Decline in Their Population Numbers |News9

Telangana Chief Minister introduced the State Caste Survey in the assembly. The survey revealed that Backward Classes constituted a total of 56.33% of the state’s population, including the 10.08% backwards from the Muslim community. Meanwhile, SCs account for 17.43% and STs make up 10.45% of the state’s population. However leaders from backward communities have raised questions on the survey over the decline of their population. The BRS has alleged that the survey was half-baked and demanded that the Revanth govt provide reservations as per the data.
