Tip for doing Hotdogs and Hotlinks. On your stove heat up a pot of water, add olive oil and some garlic powder or salt. When pot comes to a boil leave it for 5 minutes, turn off heat, put in dogs/links, cover and let sit 10-15 minutes. Then put on grill. Perfect every time.

THOUGHTS: I followed these instructions yesterday. I got the "marks" on the Hot Dogs 100% perfect. I left the hot dogs for 90 seconds on one side. I then rotated 180 degrees and cooked another 90 seconds. I then moved the Hot Dogs to the Indirect Heating side of the grill. But, the Hot Dogs simply did NOT taste as good - presumably because the Hot Dogs only spent about seven or eight minutes on the grill and did not absorb as much of the "smoke" flavor from the charcoal. The other day, I left the Air Vents only half open in order to make it so the Hot Dogs spent more time in the grill. The Hot Dogs were "burnt" more, but they hot dogs also tasted better as a result of having more "smoke" flavor.

Very true! Most people have no clue ( half of America LOL) I use ground beef and add one egg, a splash of Worsecheier sauce, and a bit of Emerils or McCormick meat seasoning. I add some chopped peppers and onions and make the patties nice and thick. I drizzle a bit of olive oil on the patties and get my gas weber to 700 degrees. I grill 2-3 minutes on each side. If I use charcoal, I get the kettle to 500 degrees and leave them on a bit longer. The Weber chimney is great!

Sorry but I like a little char on the weenies, I HIGHLY recommend that you try the Sahlens (Publix) they're delicious and don't taste as much nitrates! Nitrates are BAD 4 U! We have a little country store out here (Charlie's St. Joe store) just out of Dade City who grinds his own ground beef, cuts his own steaks, they're 100% better than what you find in the store, worth the 8 mile drive for them! We do our burgers like you do but Tim also lets them sit with a touch of worschestershire on them b4 grilling medium rare. Y'all Have a blessed 4th of July 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲

Way i like to grill smoke them Red Franks is? Take them Skewers sticks and place one down the center of each. Then with a sharp knife hold at 45 deg and make a slice all the down it as rolling it, This keep them straight and all togather for a spiral effect. This make the hot dog hold more things as well in it. while getting a bite of frank in every bite

Try kosher salt and course ground black pepper on the burgers. I never do the indirect method but what works great for me is brown them to about medium, put them on the bun, then put the whole burger in foil and toast it on both sides. It'll be grey all the way and melt in your mouth when you do it right. You can cheese both sides of the bun too or even go ahead and put mustard on it. One bite and you won't be able to stop. I use 73/27. Chuck is always chewy. Anything leaner is always dry. When they flame, shut the lid, that's the flavor. You'll never have a better burger in your life if you do it my way.

I've never seen any of your videos this was the first for me. When I saw the lighter fluid I almost hit the dislike button right then and there LOL. Glad I kept watching though right on. For seasoning my burgers I use Lawry's seasoned salt and fresh cracked black pepper. If it's just me and my fam I'll add garlic powder as well but if I have guests over I usually leave the garlic powder out. Just another tip when using the indirect heat when you move the burgers to the safe zone that's when you add the cheese and put the cover back on the grill and let that cheese melt in.

I put out a new fab on hot dogs. I call it > The Hot Dog That Went Down So Good its between a taco, hamburger and a hot dog. Easy to make ! Get some franks and boil them in garlic powder and beef seasoning ! hamburger buns, chopped onion, yellow mustard, and some fresh made taco meat. Take the bun place a nice frank on the hamburger bun push down into the bun, then sprinkle chopped onions, on it, then yellow mustard, and sprinkle some taco meat on it fold it up in a paper towel and pig out. NO ONE CAN EAT JUST 1 add cheese to it, If you wish ~ what ever YOU WANT

Lump charcoal, Lazzari Mesquite, and the chimney to start. I grill everything on my Lodge Cast Iron Sportsman Grill, I’m done with the scrawny wire racks on just about every other grill. Cooking delicate seafood on a wire rack grill is a ruined cook waiting to happen, Rockfish fillets, and other delicate fish cuts, will fall apart, into the fire coals, on a wire rack grill. Properly seasoned and cared for, my sportsman grill is the best grill I’ve had! “Disclaimer, “Your results may vary”!😀
