I am currently shooting a Bear Motive 6. I am looking to replace it this summer. I'm a lefty so shops have limited models for me to test out. I can't afford the flagship prices The Alaskan XT, Bear Surpass, and the Darton Consequence are on my list. I hunt PA and the short ATA of the Darton looks good. My youngest son bought an Adapt+ last year and loves it. Bear's customer service was great when I dealt with them, so they get some points there. Any input is appreciated . Your videos are great! Any chance on a Bear Surpass review???

I think in my personal opinion, how bear would flip the market if they made their flagship bows a carbon composite, at a fred-bear price point. I think it would make them a top contender.

Gotta say Love the channel. If I am ever curious about a bow you’re one of the first guys I watch it’s tough to find guys that give fair and unbiased testing and opinions on all types of bows. Also when a legend like Chuck Adams hunts with this Bow you know it’s a damn good bow.

Just found your site bud ,love your honest take on things ,especially the foot placement when shooting . I hunt out of tree stands as well and a spread out foot placement is just not doable . I teach my daughter the same thing , practice the same way you hunt

I honestly believe that Bear is slept on. It doesn't carry the same weight as the big 3-4 bow brands, but Near has some really great features that you would get from the big names and a fraction of the price. My last budget bow just malfunctioned in a bad way and is out of commission. I'm definitely going to be shooting this one when it comes time to purchase a new one. Thanks BYB!!

I went out on a limb and bought this bow without shooting one before Christmas. A few months in and this is easily the best $500 I’ve ever spent on an archery product. I’ve had several flagship bows in the past from several manufacturers and they were all great bows but not $500-$700 better. It will be hard for me to ever justify spending the money for a flagship after owning this Alaskan XT.
