We had a Russian olive as well, cut us down and made candle holders and spoons the grain is very nice

One piece of advice I can offer is cover the earth bound piece of timber in creosote to slow down the erosion process or use marine ply that is water resistant to prolong the life span. Otherwise, these jumps are looking amazing, excellent work!
