Solderless connectors similar to solderstick have been around for at least 30 years. I repaired military airplanes and used them back in the 90s. I'm glad you showed them, I've needed some more. Nice to have another resource for them. Keep up the awesome content, Tim!

Brother, an advise to you. When bending the top of the door. roll down the window so its easier to bend it. The window makes the top door stronger when its up.

I have been using those solder sleeves (splice) as an aircraft engineer for over 20 years, good to see it trickle down to the automotive industry. Also, awesome work staggering those solder splices. Raychem TE connectivity has a huge range.

I know can be hassle but just something I have learned from my father who welded a lot in USSR. I very much enjoy your content and am only one year younger than you. You should first apply primer and some putty + filler and then apply wax to the profile. That is a proper way. Or You should paint the elements completly and then apply wax, it would be the best solution. Best from Poland, it`s great to watch Your movies.

I like those solder things but I did run into issues before where the solder would not bond to the wires and I would have a lose connection sometimes

i have seen you swap a few quarterpanels now, but i never seen you do like the famous lithuainian dude arthur tussik, where he melts metal(led, tin, aluminium, not sure what it is though) in the spliced panels(where the panel meets the original body) and then grind off the excess material.... damn taking no risks at all.... the whole bottle of cavity wax :D

I noticed the drivers don’t want to get the parts. I have also noticed with cara going to copart they give you a 3 day notice of the car being picked up so you just leave it outside and never know when it’s going to get out or if it was even picked up by the right person.
