LOOK UP JSU DAWG TEAM a bunch of players in the same section with similar play style to this usually all show style bands play like this not the same tone but you'll get the premise of why he plays like this when you hear multiple people playing like him it gives a deep growl as a section

The sound bears a resemblance to the way I've heard United House of Prayer brass bands play. It's this, like you said, very harsh and almost electric sound. I find it very interesting but I wonder how ergonomic it is with all the overblowing. Might be that the players don't have a long shelf life.
