It is a good pice for that renovation. You know how to save. i didn't think that door was repairable...😅 Here in the US we are a "throw away" society as labor is so expensive that it is cheaper to buy a new door. Also we have plenty of landfill area.
@asianight91883 ай бұрын
Same in England, just throw it and buy new. Its also a lot better for the environment fixing things

I've just been to the Philippines and Bacolod. I was doing some DIY there. I've been shopping in all the hardware stores. The harsh environment starts to destroy everything quite quickly, homes, vehicles, and people, including myself. Constant battle to maintain a decent standard of living. Brownouts and no running water are the main problems.
@asianight91883 ай бұрын
Brownouts have been a big problem this year
@timredd3 ай бұрын
@@asianight9188 Bacolod is particularly bad for brownouts. I also spent 2 weeks in Cebu without any brownouts.

That’s what ails big cities because of the population boom and the need to utilize gov’t resources - water, electricity, transportation, housing, and the like which till now is not at par with demands. I’ve done social experiment in rural areas in the past. Those are the places that have basic but comfy living. No problem with electricity, water, and transportation. The praises goes to the price of food. They’re so much cheaper than the cities. So if you can afford living in big cities, try to scout a new experience for cheaper abode in rural areas. 👍🏠🌏

@@timredd Cebu is in the recieving end of neighboring provinces' contributions..for example..most of Leyte's and Negros oriental's Geothermal power outputs are being delivered to cebu via submarine cables...Negros occidental's massive daytime renewable energy outputs thanks to numerous Solar power farms and Biomass plants in the province..are also brought to cebu and Panay...

It would probably cost upwards of $5,000 for the same renovations in the US.

It has potential to be a cute little cottage. Do you how much a property like this would cost. One that needs work so i could do upgrades each month. Unfortunately i lost everything when i got sick before retirement. i used to have rental properties that needed work and i enjoyed renovating them when i could do almost all the work myself. But not anymore after getting sick. i would need to hire workers.

Probably between half a million to a million. Some people ask stupid prices for their houses, and never sell them

Super helpful sir especially for us starting out. How much is the runming rent for a 2-bed in Bacolod, sir?
@asianight91883 ай бұрын
That house would be worth around 4-5k a month. That's about as cheap as you will find

Hi! You once had a vlog about you renovating your porch. You had it enclosed with screen. I am planning on renovating our porch just like what you did with yours. I have been trying to find that vlog but I couldn't find it. May I know if you can recommend the people who did your porch? Thank you very much in advance.

I thought you have to be a citizen of PI to buy free standing property there? Was there a reason why you choose this location? Is it close to the beaches, shopping and medical? i was looking at moving to the PI bec of the high cost of living in the US. Are you able to get good skilled workers that can do the work and not charge a fortune?
@asianight91883 ай бұрын
You do, I am married. I bought it because I was living next door at the time and didn't want any neighbours, workers here are hit and miss, you can get contractors but the price will double
