Just out of high school I ran a restaurant in a remote place on the Navajo Indian Reservation. I almost exclusively used a griddle and a deep fryer. I am so excited to be trying my new griddle. It is seasoned to my liking. I did 4 seasonings and will be making steak tonight. Can't wait to do breakfast tomorrow....

I bought one last year. One of the things I don't like about the griddle is how the lid hangs because it interferes with cooking. You didn't season the cooking surface long enough. The cooking surface should be as close to black as you can get. It took me 3 times at 20 minutes of high heat each time to prep the surface. I actually like cooking steaks on it once in awhile. Good video.
@KenRogersMostlyOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Philip... I assure you that the surface is good and black now. And yes, I can see your concerns with the lid. I typically just take it off when in use. I love a good steak on the Griddle. Well, I love a good steak regardless, but the griddle is a fine way to get a good solid seat. Thanks again!

Hey, just found this channel as I was researching these griddles. Really enjoy your vids! I figured I should get a griddle to compliment my Big Easy, and with our townhouse and it's patio, space is at a premium, this should work just fine. Hope it holds up through winter... as yes, I do grill when it's snowing/icing out there.

I hear ya, I grill year round also. I actually bought this griddle because it takes up less space than the other griddles. I love mine! Thanks so much for watching!

I just purchased this same griddle. Haven't used it yet. What I'm disappointed about this Griddle is, There is no Temperature Thermometer Gauge installed on the lid as with normal Grills. Grilling with lid on. Who knows what the temperature is? No Gauge. With other Gas Grills I always had issues with Fires flaming-up when grilling. Is there Fire Flaming-up issues with this Griddle?
@KenRogersMostlyOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
Hi Dan, thanks so much for watching. To be honest, with a griddle, most of your cooks will not require a lid at all. You will need an internal temperature gauge to probe manually. As the flame is under the griddle, flame ups will not be an issue. Grease splatter on the other hand may be, so I suggest wearing an older shirt or cooking apron. I do love my griddle. It turns out some amazing food once you get used to using it.

Do you have to season it before every use?
@KenRogersMostlyOutdoors5 жыл бұрын
No sir... Just the initial seasoning. You just need to clean it after every use and add a thin coat of oil. I hope that helps. Thanks for watching!

Tempting appliance... Great video! One major flaw with this design (I noticed) is the lack of side radiant cooking. All residual heat drops off the side of the cooking surface and makes food [like burgers and chicken] very difficult to prepare with consistent results. The lid on a griddle is great for steaming or keeping warm. I'll stick with my square cooker for now (more portable), but I really like your presentation. Happy griddlin'!
@KenRogersMostlyOutdoors5 жыл бұрын
I almost bought the square one, but I'm limited on space and so far, the Cuisinart 360 has worked perfect for me. Thanks so much for the kind words and thanks for watching!

Nice video Ken. Yeah a lot of people are going and adding a griddle to their arsenal. I’ve been thinking about doing that myself whether it’s a camp chef, Blackstone or a Cuisinart 360. It feels good to use those new tools you won I bet!
@KenRogersMostlyOutdoors5 жыл бұрын
Thanks... I went back and forth a lot before pulling the trigger. I seen this design and I fell in love! lol
@jahmarko5 жыл бұрын
Same issue here! Haha Blackstone or 360 Cuisinart!? Tough decision i like the design of the 360, but i think the squared griddle with edge is better... any sugs
@AzTurboMini5 жыл бұрын
@@KenRogersMostlyOutdoors "pulling the trigger" means you purchased it? I thought you won it? Anyway, is this ceramic type cooking top and not metal and if so how are you liking it?
@KenRogersMostlyOutdoors5 жыл бұрын
This griddle has a steel top just like the Blackstone and I love the griddle! I purchased the griddle on my own. I did win the the griddle tools in a give away from another KZbinr. Sorry for the confusion.
@AzTurboMini5 жыл бұрын
@@KenRogersMostlyOutdoors obviously I can't hear, sorry about that, you were very clear and I shouldn't have asked either question. 🙄 I've never owned a griddle myself and kinda torn between a Blackstone and this 360. There was, maybe still is a $40-$60 (not sure) discount available on the 360. I appreciate your time and videos Ken. Thank you. ✌
