You should probably watch a playthrough of some of the games if you're trying to be Canon accurate though. There's a lot of fanon stuff in the community because the games don't really have that much of a complex overarching story.

As a Touhou veteran, I could certainly tell that you were new to Touhou Project, as you yourself said in the description, but this video still manages to be amazingly respectful of the MV in an impressive way! I don’t understand Japanese, so this was my first time in years listening to Bad Apple alongside the lyrics. It gave me chills. This is the only song I’ve found that perfectly describes being too scared to end your life (fade to black) but also too scared to get better (fade to white) and ending up in a self-induced purgatory as a result. One of the scariest yet lesser known parts about depression is that, once you’ve forgotten what life is like without it, you find comfort in its familiarity and struggle to let go of it. I remember these lyrics resonating with me when I first looked them up many years ago, and now, I remember why they did.
