I'm reallly glad to see manufacturers producing machines that are a little bit more in the budget range of someone who has decided to take their firewood game to the next level!👏

Hits a lot of check marks in my book, small affective, and great for the person who sells firewood on a smaller scale and growing their business. Think of how Chris started out, reinvested and grew with little to no debt. Everyone starts somewhere and this fits a market for that. GP Outdoors is a example of a group of friends who all put cash in the pot, get good equipment, and they all use it and work together and help each other out, this processor could also fit that bill. Greta video Chris and thank you for sharing these types of videos. 👍🏻👍🏻

Nice demo of the LB14 processing real world wood that the typical homeowner might end up seeing in their woodyard.

Good machine for a start-up firewood operation. Could use either a lower trailer or a couple of feet longer conveyor. Great video again Chris. Cheers from HB NZ

Another great video! I really like the processor. The only thing I would change is the orientation of the saw I would have the saw point away from the operator other than that Its a great piece of equipment
@InTheWoodyard2 ай бұрын
Great point!
@papageo52 ай бұрын
If it faced the other way the operator would be covered in sawdust and walking in a pile of it.

Good Morning Woodhounds! The LB-14 looks like a great machine and fits into that homeowner/mild production market. I really like the simplicity and solid build. Thanks for the video!

Womder what size firewood operation this processor would be good for? 200 cords a year with the resplitting?
@InTheWoodyard2 ай бұрын
Yes, about that of for a person who has friends/relatives that could work together to make all of their firewood.

Those machines should fit a smaller wood yard, and a smaller budget. Well done on this video Chris.

The lb-14 is definitely beater with a heater prius approved. . As it likely has a 3.5k axil that has the flange to add brakes. Occasionally I see a 2.2k axil that can take brakes, but not often.

It's nice but I think the Hahn had a bit more to offer in this size range and price point.
@InTheWoodyard2 ай бұрын
Maybe so.

Would be nice if it had a 6-way wedge. Would be a lot of resplitting to get the size firewood I prefer to sell, but it sure is a lot cheaper than the processors that would eliminate most resplitting!

Yep definitely not a cheap splitter. But for the whole unit a family group or a friend group could plow through a fair amount of wood and with the conveyor be loading trailers to take away in a good social atmosphere. Maybe you could have Branch chapters of "in the woodyard" with your own leathers
@leeetchells6092 ай бұрын
Nice machine but if he split those logs with the maul he wouldnt have that pot belly 😅
@papageo52 ай бұрын
I tried that for 4 years. Didn’t work for me

He cuts and sells HUNDREDS of cords every year could you do that much with a maul?

Looks a little dangerous, if anything flew off that chain it could take out the operator, just a small grate separating them! 🇺🇸
