It’s easy to see why Maggie Veitch couldn’t stand Deirdre though to be honest. If I were a prison guard and had to listen to an inmate constantly moaning about their innocence and that they shouldn’t be there, I think I’d probably end up wanting to punch them quite frankly. She clearly felt that Deirdre was acting as though she thought she was better than the others, rather than just accept she had committed a crime and had to serve her sentence. On the other hand, I also have a lot of sympathy for Deirdre too. You find yourself put in prison for something you haven’t done is bound to upset you and of course you’re going to do anything to convince yourself and other people that you’re innocent and therefore don’t deserve to be there. So in short, I can see it from both sides if I’m being honest and look at it objectively.

Absolutely! Deirdre’s attitude stinks from beginning to end (understandably).

The most upsetting thing I saw was when the prison doctor forced drugs into her

That's right. Not only in jail, but *wrongly* in jail. Incredible stuff.

It also feels more rushed now, one minute they're in court and the next they're in an apron and full makeup. Here you can really feel the fear and humiliation of Deirdre, it's much more sober.
