I had A, 10 unsuited once at Casino Windsor, flop came A, A, J, 5 players in the hand and all the money went in before the betting even got to me. I called anyway, thinking I was beat and won the pot, without filling up. Too good a hand to fold against only one player! Love your style and watch every vlog!

Nice comeback! Good that 8-9 off didn't derail your game. The pocket threes is just bad luck, although he did push all in, knowing you had an ace, you still had a few outs. Glad the poker gods were kind to you and let you recoup most of your loss.

If you always lose to AK when you are holding lets say KK, QQ, then change your play, don't go all in. Just reraise leaving about 60% to70% of your stack behind. Then see the flop if there is no ace then raise big time and you'll find that maybe your opponent will probably fold. Thing is with pushing all in you allow all cards to be seen and there may be a suck out, especially on the river, which was the case when you had KK. Time and time again I see a jam only to see that if you had just made a reasonable reraise preflop, then you stop the chances of a suck out, which is often the case. Obviously this is not the case with AA pockets, as a jam is obvious to a huge preflop raise.
@pieterkoen2232 Жыл бұрын
Lol dude , u cant always lose to AK with qq and kk and you should happy to get in pre with kk, so u want check fold every ace high board when villain range is full with pairs?
@onlylexus Жыл бұрын
@@pieterkoen2232 My comment was based only regarding Lex's complaint that he always got sucked out on when he had big pocket pairs, so under that scenario only. I suggest an alternative strategy which I also apply that often works, and that is to NOT always jam. You will observe that Lex also had pocket KK's again later on in the game, but did you notice he played it exactly as I suggested above, he did not jam, he played it perfectly and got 2 calls, then his opponent folded after. My comment is based entirely on Lex saying he was tired of getting sucked out on, if that is the case then change the strategy to stop and prevent suck outs on the river, which was what occurred. A jam always offers the villain a chance of a suck out even with pocket 22.. as all the cards are exposed increasing the odds of suck outs.

I love the breakdown in the A10 hand where you’re breaking down your logic and counting combos. That was really good stuff. Though I do think that’s only ever a boat there. Like 110% of the time. No way he’s jamming with worse trips lol
@Ver5587 Жыл бұрын
His mistake was check raising the turn. Awful check raise. If the guy is bluffing you keep his bluffs in and get max value by check calling to the river. If you check raise and he doesn’t have it he’s just folding, but if he does have it your dead. And if he does have it you control the pot by just check calling the whole way. And you lose a medium pot at worst. Literally zero reason to check raise that turn ever. Easiest logic ever.

Tilt shove with KJ. I'm competitive as well. Trained GJJ for years. One technique I use is I tell myself that "it's not me who got beat- KK got beat by AK. I did my part. I got my money in good. The cards didn't hold. Nothing I can do about that." That way you're mentally putting space between you and the cards.

Huge raise, so we only have to defend with the absolute top of our range. We can play AA, AK, AQ, AJ, A9, and A3 the same way until the all-in. We can call with our boats/quads and maybe AK, fold everything else to the huge jam.

The AT trips hand comes down to limp calling ranges like A9s, A3s, and 33. You did disguise the strength of your hand and your hand strength did improve on the turn but it’s a way ahead or way behind spot. I’m like just calling to protect against hands your in bad shape against. Obviously you could be ahead of a worse A but when they are willing to 3b jam turn I would feel beat. I stopped in the middle of the hand to write this comment so let’s see what happens👍

It got back to me I didn’t know what to do I froze ended up folding they flipped over 8s and 10s I woulda hit an ace on the turn and tripled up. Got knocked out at 15 wasn’t a big cash but somewhat proud of myself for making it that far I sucked out a few hands and won a lot of flips to get a nice stack
