It takes certain skills to portray their characters. It is lots of physical stuff and lots of discomfort to bring these characters to life in all these years. They have to train how to shoot, they have to train how to fight and they have to lose sleep. They have to stay in shape. They have to keep their health on par with what they have to do. It’s not an easy task. Lots of rehearsals and 18 hours shifts, just doing one scene and make each line and make it sound good and funny. It takes an insane amount of Drive. Doing what they do is no joke. And also, Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are born to Detective Mike Lowrey and Detective Marcus Burnett. Some are born to play certain roles and others are born to play sports. I attended Digital Media Production classes and have a new respect for what actors and the crew have to do. Especially with technology these days, we have all these resources but you have to learn how to use and navigate your resources and what technology and resources that you have. I have a great respect for what Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are talking about. They had to attend classes to learn how to do those lines, how to work with the cameramen and they have to do lots of interviews and they have to promote their film, like they are doing here. They have to rehearse this skit as well. It doesn’t just end with the movie, they have to do a lot…And their work is never done. Will Smith and Martin Lawrence have other projects. And same thing there as well. And you have to love what you do. They are passionate their work and they are very talented with their work. Acting and filmmaking is very hard work, you have to very passionate about the work.
