This is because modern-day airplanes are designed so that electricity travels through them, without any interruption. The outer shell of a typical airplane is made of aluminum. There is a reason to do that. It drops dead weight, thus making the aircraft lighter and more maneuverable, which can (keyword CAN) help you recover from a potential wipe.

Bombs need to have their warhead armed to explode. If he jettisons the bombs they are not armed so he can drop them safely without exploding.

From what I know DCS does not have “modeling” for the pylons IE they don’t explode how ever some pylons in real life will if armed
