Excellent review! 👍🏾 I respect Hollywood filmmakers that can release an 80 min flick and be confident in their story so much that they don't have to pad the runtime with unnecessary stuff. The rule is this: if you can cut it and it doesn't affect anything at all, then cut it abeg. The reason the first KOB felt really good was because even though it was approaching 3 hrs, everything felt tied together. Everything was crucial to the story, from the flashbacks to the hallucinations scene.

Most definitely! Good writing and good storytelling is starting to feel like a lost art in Nollywood these days. 🎥 At least in a few of the really big movies that make it to cinemas anyway. I agree with what you said about KOB too. Ironically though lots of people felt there were a lot of unnecessary scenes in the recent Return of the King sequel. Personally, I didn't think so.

I just watched the other day. I liked movie. It was a good story. I do agree with some of your review. I noticed some things. Yea, way too many dinners. And I thought they could have had him doing something far worst; like murder or a drug deal gone wrong, since he lost his livelyhood. And then to spend all that money going to those extremes; like the punishment not fitting the crime, them all getting kicked out their homes and fired from their jobs. He was recorded pushing the man on the couch. So him ending up all wrapped up screamed scam. But overall it was good.

I think being bothered about his image on social media than his career seemed deliberate since it's automatic that once he rewrites that image, his career will be rejuvenated. Also, he said in his lines that he has lost everything except "money".....when he was with the NATO too, he queries why they couldn't fight it ...... From the Nigerian interpretation too, since he has money, he has a chance to redirect his life in another career if fighting for the correction of his image on social media seems irredeemable....

Awww. Thank you! 🤗 I enjoyed the film too but I would have really enjoyed it more if they did more with the Antagonist like I said in the review. 👊🏽 PS: I’m curious, Is there any upcoming movie or show on Netflix that you think I should review in the near future?

Nice review. I only differ in the parts I consider implausible...for me his domestic staff coming together to challenge him over the social media brouhaha, was unrealistic and also the way the lady he was with left his side immediately the other video came out was just not plausible in real life.
@alexoturu52883 жыл бұрын
Asides from that, it was quite a watchable film
@AbumereDotCom3 жыл бұрын
VERY TRUE! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 I noticed that domestic staff one too. I was like in this same Nigeria where people will know that their employer is a confirmed thief but they’ll still stand by them till their last breath so far they’re paying their salary? And these workers will now voluntarily leave over a viral video? No way! And you’re right, that babe too wouldn’t have left his side in real life. She would even stuck by him more. Lol.

Nice review, but I disagree with your review on Osas character....to present such characters with dual intentions, the director had to be sure the cover is not blown...the development of her character was ok for the A part of her characterisation.....that to me was not watery, and I speak as someone in the field
