Brilliant analogy Mike. A lot of the times we need to research who played what part especially in bands that have several guitarist's that maybe coming and going or standing in for whatever reasons. sometimes different guitarist's play the same tune but don't all play those exact original notes. You definitely nailed it historically and musically and not being afraid to try out different notes if your a lone Guitarist to fill in that odd note that you can hear coming from a 2nd or 3rd guitarist is definitely a must to enhance your skills and sound quality. Excellent Tutorial Mike. Keep those tunes coming ☺

Mike, Because of your treatment of this song, and your great explanations of the nuances, I was wondering if you'd cover Gimme Danger by Iggy & the Stooges. I don't know if you like Iggy Pop, but that song in particular has some incredibly subtle rock parts that I think you would really appreciate. I know it's not Beatles, but thought I'd run it by you. Thanks.
@MPfrance4 жыл бұрын
Hi Joann - thanks for the kudos. I appreciate it. Due to the vast amount of time, preparation, research, learning, mastering, recording, video taping, editing, etc. it takes to do an instructional video - I have to choose material that I truly love. I have nothing against Iggy - I understand the importance he plays in R&R history - but I'm just not that excited about delving deep in to his art. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.
@JoannCarolus4 жыл бұрын
I understand. I was hoping, but can't win 'em all! I really like the work you do, not because I'm a big Beatles fan, but because of the thought and experience you bring to your presentations. Have a great New Year! - J.

I feel like this song is the base prototype for all modern rock songs from 1990 onwards. Radiohead's "Creep" is basically a reboot in every way, and I even hear Nirvana pulling inspiration from this track.
