"Bad Company" is a song by the hard rock band Bad Company. It was released as the third single from their debut album Bad Company in 1974, although it did not chart (in America). Co-written by the group's lead singer Paul Rodgers and drummer Simon Kirke, the song's meaning comes from a book on Victorian morals.

front row at the assembly hall in 1979 at university of Illinois. they started the concert with this song. there was a stool. he came out sat on it. then a motorized organ came out in front of him. he started playing then each member came out and and that's why they call me bad company... they started rocking through all of their hits. great concert.

Whenever the topic of "rock royalty" comes up, Paul Rodgers is always towards the top of my list. The list is long and distinguished, but he is iconic, has made an impact over such a long period of time and across such a wide space, with so many musicians and his voice has held up reeeeeally well. I got the "Bad Company" LP when it came out (still have it) my freshman year in college and we listened to it a lot. Just last week I listened to it driving. Listening to an album for 47 years is a good indicator it is good and that it passed the test of time. In addition to Bad Company I also still listen to Free because I love Mr. Rodgers voice.

This is the kind of straight forward rock n roll song that requires volume with some serious punch from some big ass speakers ! This is an excellent live rendition, but nothing beats the original album. The guitar just growls, the drums drive and the bass is magic... plus the piano and The Voice... none better.

First of all, I love Bad Co. They are an iconic Rock Band. It's great to see that they are not afraid to add extra members when playing LIVE. I respect a Band that adds a Guitarist to their line-up. Green Day have a touring Guitarist as well. Jimmy Page cannot play Lead breaks and Rhythm Guitar simultaneously, it's physically impossible, that's why there are massive 'wholes' in Led Zeppelin's LIVE sound.
