bad computers stint this year has been super enjoyable to say the least, im loving the fact that he’s able to bring a little variety to the plain commercial/slap house on instinct with all 5 releases, this being no exception

I find it interesting that you said that this sounded more like a collaboration between Infected Mushroom and Bad Computer when I actually had the opposite conclusion. This feels VERY Bad Computer and almost nothing like Infected, which I found rather disappointing. Granted, this probably comes from the fact that I've heard IM's entire discography front to back multiple times, but still, I'm very surprised this was the conclusion you drew. I still love the remix to death, it's Bad Computer doing what he does best, but... I felt it lost some of what made the original track so unique and fun. I was hoping for Bad Computer to really lean into the Infected weirdness but he kinda stayed rather simple (for his standards, anyway) and I was left wanting more. I do agree though, Computers on Mushrooms would be a collab made in heaven, I really really hope they get together in the studio one of these days! Edit: that last thing you were talking about how the notes seemed to "fade in" is actually a common production technique called a "reverse reverb", basically putting reverb on a track, letting the note play out with a long tail, and then taking that audio and reversing it. Infected Mushroom have been using it ALL the time since 1996, and it always helps to tie their tracks together in a cohesive and seamless way, considering just how many twists and turns their music tends to take.
