Bad Crankshaft Pulley Before and After

Ok so if the crank shaft pulley wobbles, does that mean it's definitely bad, or is it possible it just came loose ?

Check bearings but if not then yea

This bolt is tightened at 450NM. It can't be loose bolt. This is an old pulley and needs to be replaced, as you see in the second clip.

This harmony Pulley wobble because of rubber between the crank shaft and the ring of pulley is tear

It means it's gonna go bang at any point, you'll fix it, then 6 months later you'll have another warning light come on for something else. Modern BMW engines are rubbish.

Does the crankshaft has to rotate when belt is taken out? or is it supposed to be still?

@@gantoniom9615nigga you don’t know what you talking about 🤣 it’s supposed to be still then move when you start the car…it’s called the “crankshaft” because when you “crank”the engine it starts turning to activate the belt. Thats why it’s bigger than every other pulley and tensioners because it the main one that rotates the belt.

When you replaced the pulley did you have to remove the radiator? And what did it sound like? I have this sound that’s like a scrape I only hear at acceleration sometimes

No need to remove radiator. There's a special tool to secure the pulley. The first time that I heard the sound, I thought it was a taiming chain, becous was metalik noise, then disappear, and one or two weeks later this was the noice. You could grab it and move it. Mine crank shaft pulley started to wobble too , and its dropping off the 4pk steering belt . Can it be ?

The squeak when you start the car is absolutely normal for these engines. Even the 177hp makes the same sound, so it's not a problem. Problem is when squeak no stoop then could be a belt, or a pully

Did you have intermitent oil signal and some bad noise in the engine before you change it ?

Engine just run, but no supply power and engine get hot due to no water pumping. It is call harmony pulley

Need help mine dose that but now it’s not cranking over fully. At all now so would that make it not start I checked basically everything else

I would start from the battery, because requires a lot of energy, so make sure is okay, check the starter motor, fuel, and last compression. Could very easaly be just relay for starter motor..but is hard to be tell from one sentence.

Yes, on the second clip you see the new one. And ther was no more axial move.

Nope thats ur turbo lag ..in this case ur servo clima and alternator wont work
