I don’t think the digger driver would say under his breath any more than “ damn”. He knows that doing farm work and being involved in farming “its no use crying over spilt milk”. It’s not going to fix itself any quicker and getting upset isn’t going to make it better, you just have to b philosophical. I am not sure whether or not blowing a hydraulic pipe is on a par with a baler not tying (or netting) when you are nearly finished the field and it’s getting late, but guess its not far behind.😀.All the best from England.

How frustrating. Between the broken hose and mixing your own concrete, so many hours lost to digging and filling. Still, you & Robert got a lot done on the dam today. I am looking forward to the next step on this dam. You do such good work, Chris. You are a joy to watch. Thanks for sharing.
@jacobc5757Ай бұрын
Tip ☝️🤠👍that I learned for mixing the concrete is that a Hoe will mix it easier than a shovel. You can get all the dry stuff at the bottom of the bucket pulled up and mixed in where the shovel will be heavier to work it up from there. But everybody has their own way of doing what they do.

I want to say thank you Sir for the videos. These videos help me pass time through out the day. I miss the time when I was in the Navy as a Seabee Construction Mechanic and as my unit had a shortage of operators for the heavy equipment. We mechanics had to step up and I really do miss that time of my life. My wife commented to me the other day as I was perusing one of your videos what is that man doing? I told her building a pond. She said looks like he is just making a big pile of dirt. So for over the course of the videos you have about digging and forming the pond and laying all that dirt you dug out down I had her watch them with me. She said at the end of the build that it takes an artist to do that. Then proceeded to ask me did you ever do something like this in the military? I told her never in the form of recreation or enjoyment. With the one exception of a mural that stands today on the Side of Mooney Blvd. Visalia California as a Tribute to the WWII Veteran. The ground work, small water feature and placement of the Flags was done by myself and and a motley group of Seabees.

Wild guess,$450 hose ,plus 4 hours down time , Mechanic time ,equals a bill close to $1500 bucks in true costs of breakdowns ? The old Girl will need some loving ,bucket and thumb bushes and pins obviously have wear . It's a shame that a main hydraulic line that isn't moving about like all the hoses up front ,has failed !does that mean the rest of them will fail as well ? There might be Merritt in thinking that when a hose blows ,it's time to buy a new Machine ?
