I’d be more inclined to take the side of those feeling ‘held up’ by people in the right…if their footage showed their speed. If the person in the right lane is doing under the speed limit, then yeah, I fully understand the annoyance Too often though you hear people griping about right lane hogs - where the person in the right lane is overtaking a b-double for example, and is doing q02 in a 100 zone - they aren’t holding you up in that scenario…you’re being prevented from speeding…

Does etiquette encompass sideswiping someone for minor inconvenience or it's only one way etiquette? I see loads of dheads in GC who stay in right lane to avoid the dheads in the merging/left lane.. there is no common sense on either side it's usually just " oh I've been subjected to minuscule inconvenience therefore etiquette" as justification for equally terrible driving in return.. LOL most of these sitchos are " I don't want to take foot off accelerator" or "there's someone to accelerate at, slam brakes on and lean on horn to assert my righteousness" ..

Could be a temporary drive permit. Those stickers you put on unregistered vehicles for when for example you've bought a car from an auction that's roadworthy of course and you want to drive it home the same day especially when you live a couple of hours away from where you bought the car, you can apply for a temporary drive permit which allows you drive it home and it's only effective for the one day although you can get extended permits. The unregistered vehicle with the temporary drive permit can only be driven within the allocated time that it's effective before it expires. Permit sticker has to be clearly displayed at all times. Once the permit expires, the vehicle can no longer be driven on the road until it is registered with pink slip and green slip and RWC. Get my drift.

Hi to answer your question 1, we don’t have right of way in Australia. That’s an American legal term has a different meaning to what people think. So in this case the law is that you must give way to traffic that is already in the roundabout but what many people are unaware of is that the law also requires that on approach to roundabout you must slow down and prepare to give away and stop if necessary. That’s what the triangle give way sign with the arrows on It means , the leagisation is there to stop drivers flying into roundabout at high speed trying to push their way in to get 1mm of their car in before another driver who is at the roundabout about to enter it . in this exmaple the driver that did come speeding in would be at fault if they caused a crash , if we did not have this rule in the roundabouts drivers would just go around all day going to 100kmh in a 50 zone in order to get into a roundabout before someone else then claim the other party is at fault , this has it’s legal term often used is called clean hands policy it essentially is saying you can’t break one law then try and enforce another, so another example you can’t speed up to 120 ina 50 zone and fail the stop for yellow traffic light then complain that the pedestrian stepped out in front of you is at fault because you couldn't stop in time , Hope that makes sense now :-)

Hi Tracy so with regards to those there is no rule that you only give way to your right. Every situation is different so with regards to your examples when you were going around around about you don’t give way to anyone because you’re already in the roundabout traffic has to give away to you , if you meant to say as you’re approaching or entering around about you don’t give way to your right you give way to vehicles already in the roundabout on your right, and vehicles that have entered the roundabout from your left or from directly opposite you. at an intersection you may have to give away to the left and right example when turning left at an intersection you may have to give way to a pedestrian that is on the left. You may also have to give way to a vehicle that is entering from Service road, driveway so when people say you always give way to the right there is no actual example where that is the case. It seems to be an expression that has gotten around which doesn’t actually apply You will give way to multiple directions always :-)
