Bad DVD Games - The Price Is Right

Come on down, the price of this Bad DVD game is wrong, even second hand. This is the Price is Right DVD game, based on the TV show which was hosted by Joe Pasquale at the time (2006). Shame they didn't make one with Bruce Forsyth. If you buy this, don't play Joe's Challenge whatever you do. Enjoy. (Episode 19)

It's sad knowing that this DVD game, and the Blockbusters one, and a couple of others; were worked on by former Core Design (the game developer who did the original Tomb Raider entries) employees. Circle Studio actually was formed as a video game developer and moved into the DVD Game fad once their only video game they did was received and sold poorly. Then, Circle went into administration in 2007 as they used up all their money on getting these DVD games released. I once read a comment from a former employee who discussed about these DVD games and said that they were anything but good, with some salty words thrown in.

Wow I never knew that about the employees of Core Design, but yes these gameshow based DVD quizzes did seem like a huge moneyspinner at the time, until about 2008 when more people realised they were very low quality and not helped by a certain credit crunch that year.

@@adeforeman86 A shame really that they went from Tomb Raider and other Eidos titles to this. I read up somewhere in another video that a former employee of Circle commented on was pretty harsh towards these DVD games.

The entire comment spree is on the Dave's Nostalgia Trip video of this DVD game in case you were wondering. Although the comment is from six years ago. The employee proclaimed that the 2006 FIFA World Cup Trivia Challenge game was what bit Circle Studio to the dust and even admitted Without Warning (the only video game Circle worked on) was bad. And after Circle Studio went out of business, he said he still works with these respective ex-Core Design employees.
