Bad Elf Review: How this GPS (GNSS) Saved My Sanity

I reached out to Bad Elf to see if they would let me test out one of their affordable GNSS (or commonly referred to as GPS) units on my trip into the boundary waters canoe area. Out here you are away from all cell service and most people. Which is great for a pandemic but not so great for GIS software. I prepared an offline map in ArcGIS Online to use in Esri's ArcGIS Collector app and it worked! Which was a good thing considering we were stuck out in the forest for hours.

Have you played at all with post-processing data collected on the Bad Elf GNSS Surveyor? The work I will be doing needs that added accuracy boost from post-processing, but I'm confused about what options there are for this with the Bad Elf. Thanks for sharing this video though, very helpful to hear about your experience.

Hi Katie, I have complete my M.Sc degree from an reported Agricultural University. I have completed three thesis project on ArcGIS. From then, a very kin interest on GIS have grown to me. I know ArcGIS and now I am learning QGIS. I think, if I could work under a GIS specialist, it would accelerate my my learning process. I want to know to you, does there any scope to earn a GIS internship and learn more?

Finding a GIS internship can be difficult. I would reach out to someone locally or check out a user group in you area to network. Sometimes this can lead to new internships or a volunteer position which will help you gain experience.
