Hello everyone!
In this video we take a walk along the main street of Bad Homburg Louisenstrasse.The first mention of Bad Homburg dates back to 1180.
It acquired city status in 1330 and at that time was in the possession of the aristocratic Eppstein family.
In 1888 Bad Homburg become the summer residence of Emperor Wilhelm 2nd.
In the mid-19th century the city became an international resort.
Currently,as before,the city is famous for its spa treatment.
This is a calm,picturesque city, with a lot of greenery and a huge resort park. Bad Homburg was once the capital of the Hesse-Homburg Landgraviate.
While walking along Louisenstrasse, we will also take a look at Altstadt, where lovers of medieval architecture will enjoy walking through the streets with half-timbered houses and towers of that time.

Very cool. Bad Homburg is always easy to reach via Frankfurt using the S-Bahn (line S5). In Frankfurt main station, just about the height of the pharmacy sign (inside the station), you first go down one level using the escalator. You can get your ticket there. Then take the next escalator one level lower and keep to the right, i.e. when you get to the bottom, you can take the S-Bahn on the right that has 'Friedrichsdorf' as its final stop to Bad Homburg, the station that is two stops before.
