I have to make a correction. The HD master on Bluray was NOT a upscale of the SD master. It was in fact a new HD master in the early 2000's.

I had no idea the previous Blu-ray was an upscaled SD master which possibly means that there may never have been an HD master created for Bad Lieutenant. Who knew! Great work as always, Paul.

I only had a laserdisc copy of bad lieutenant. I think a 4K purchase will be required.

Stick with the laserdisc. You have the original audio from 92.
