I was a 13-year-old kid who tried to act funny to make friends, never realizing I had to just be me to make the friends who mattered. I don't regret it, or else I wouldn't be the man I am today. Now I'm 23, and I'm proud to say I've accomplished more than I ever dreamed. I'm still that same kid who likes to write stories and draw pictures, and no matter what, I'm gonna publish those stories someday. The other day, I felt the saddest I've felt for a while, and it's because this social distancing stuff is finally getting to me. I felt alone and like I wasn't doing anything fulfilling with my life being stuck inside, and that hurt to think about. But now, listening to one of the most inspirational songs of my teen years, I've been reminded of all I've accomplished and all I still need to do. For all of you out there who feel as uplifted by this song as I do, you're not alone in this pandemic. I know you don't know me, and I don't know you, but I know that however alone you might feel, you still have things you know you have to do or want to do.
