Good evening CCF. Pastor Peter said that God can't force us to change. The given example was the story of the prodigal son, whose father let him do whatever the son wants. But, we also know that there are instances where God changes our hearts. How do we reconcile these 2 seemingly contradicting thoughts? Thank you.

It is still the person's free will to allow God to change your heart. That's when you can also say God changed my heart when you allow him so.

@@ermadz1685 then the god you are saying is not the God of the bible. How can a finite being resist the calling of an infinite being? (John 6:37) People who turned away from God did not “resist”, rather, they do not belong to God in the first place (1 John 2:19). The concept of free will means we can choose ( i can choose to reply or not) but free will to resist and choose God is not possible for us man. By default, No one seeks God (rom. 3). We are dead in sin. We are always inclined to sin, unless God transforms our hearts
