​@@_nuclearnoodle_5757Metal, or any genre stamp, is too limiting. They're reaching beyond boundaries and making something that is unique. I'm not sure it's found it's shape yet. It's still nebulous. Over time, they will refine what it is that they do, and distill it down to it's essence. Then mold it into its most current state. The lovely thing about metal is that it's easily the most diverse genre that there is. When Queensryche and Necrophagia can be put under the same banner, it should give some perspective. I think at this point, "metal" is whatever you want it to be. It never dies. It changes shape.
