@@gideonstacticalStill have it? How's it holding up? I doubt you'll ever see this, but I ran across a Crooked River (old stock) for about $220... They did put it back for me. It's been kind of my grail knife for a few years. All that sounds great except I keep thinking that I could get a Gerber Sedulo and a Mora Garberg, for right at the same amount. Anyways, I will be pulling the trigger here in about 2 weeks... But, you see my dilemma? I have a Becker BK2 for camping... It is a tank. Need a good folder. Was planning to pair the Crooked River with the BK2 and possibly a Mora Robust or Companion HD... Possibly an Eldris... for the detail and lighter work, feather sticks, etc... Any thoughts? I doubt I get a reply seeing as how this video is two years old... But hey, you never know. Thanks for all the great content. you never know.

I think Gerber's starting to come back to life. I just received a customized Terracraft and it's a very well designed blade and sheath with excellent fit and finish. Only took a week and a half to deliver. The grind is a bit thick and the sheath needs a dangler (which it is capable of accepting) but otherwise I'm impressed.

I pre-ordered this knife and have had a few days to fiddle with it. I want Gerber's comeback to succeed as someone who lives 15 minutes away from their headquarters. The price point is about right for the materials. But there are some fit & finish nitpicks that I would expect to be improved for a knife that costs a hundred bucks. I also own two Griptilians and absolutely agree that it's the knife that Gerber is most trying to compete with here. While I like the Sedulo for what it is, I think the extra $20 or so for an S30V Griptilian is still worth it (particularly since I paid $105 for my S30V Griptilian).

I'm totally stoked to finally see Gerber is stepping up to the plate....and with American made production. I'm always a fan of most any of Crucible's powder metallurgy steels. S30V is still king IMO for the money. Now my decision is whether to buy the black oxide version or just the plain satin blade version. Maybe both.

Benchmade Griptillian vs Gerber Sedulo. Different blade shape, different handle shape and different construction. They only use the same locking mechanism. To say the Sedulo is a knockoff of the Griptillian is like saying a Speyderco Endura is a knockoff of a Buck 110. These two knives fill the same niche so one has to compare, but I like the Sedulo better than the Grip. Gave my Grip to my brother..he deserved a good knife. Knife enthusiast's are fickle. I was waiting for your review before ordering. Great review, now to place my order...thanks.

The Lawman is a tough ad nails and if you like choils is the way to go. But it is thin, good for edc but the Sedulo will be rounder and fuller in the hand. The Triad lock on the lawman is super strong, but the Sedulo will be a lot easier and quicker. Both great but pretty different. Hope that helps George!

Finally received mine yesterday and out of the box, the action is outstanding and having owned dozen of AXIS, ABLE locks, I know it will only get softer and sweeter. Centering is perfect. Very sharp, but it better be. No blade play and very comfortable. Only negative is the un even edge. This is a working knife, so I'm not bothered by that at all. This isn't one of my pretty knives, although I've got to say I'm glad I went with the blue as it's nice, but like my Grips, this one is going out in the yard with me as we speak, so I'll straighten that edge out when I need to sharpen it. Overall, great feel, great weight, the clip is perfection and I have knives that cost 5X as much that I WISH had a deep carry clip like this. For the money, this is a fidget friendly winner. And outstanding review as always, Aaron.

Always great reviews and this one is no different. For the record the terminology for the locking mechanism is referred to as a "crossbar"; easy to remember as well. One disadvantage of all knives that use the crossbar locking mechanism in my estimation are the springs which provide the release and lock. Overtime springs do fatigue and weaken. Only the manufacturer wouod accurately know, what engineers refer to as, "cycles to failure" on the spring mechanisms. Of course the crossbar lock is stronger than the frame and liner locking mechanisms for the most part. Of course, the best locking mechanism is none at all, a fixed blade! Again, thank you for a thorough and accurate review especially as you compare them to other competitive models in its class. Take care.

If a griptilian and bugout had a baby this is the knife it would be. If Gerber offered it with different scale material (G10 or Micarta) then it would be a no brainer for me. I understand with the S30V they had to cut cost on the handles by using the polymer but I really dislike the cheap feeling of it (currently have a griptilian with FRN scales). In the realm of this style of knives I still think the Hogue/Doug Ritter RSK Mk1 G2 is the top dog for me. The grind is middle ground between the Griptilian and the Sedulo and it has milled G10 scales. Thanks for the review!

I completely understand why but there quality went right out the window. The thing I appreciate about your videos is there is no BS to your reviews its all straight up, thank you, and that's what makes me decide if a product is worth purchasing.
