That 1 minute trailer broke me. From the music, the videography, the edits and the voiceovers. You are a truly incredible storyteller and video maker! ❤

I normally don't comment on videos but felt compelled to do so. As a half-Pakistani myself who has never stepped foot into Pakistan and who also doesn't speak the language (I know a bit and can understand half of the time), your question of "Am I a bad Pakistani?" spoke to me. I always have felt a sense of shame or embarrassment because of it. I've had people growing up tell me that I was not Pakistani enough or not Pakistani at all-and truth be told, sometimes I genuinely feel that way. I'm currently trying to learn Urdu and have felt a bit embarrassed as I am not close with my family who do speak Urdu, so who will I speak it to? All in all... I appreciate this video and I appreciate you molding and cultivating your own relationship with Pakistan and hope to do the same one day. Looking forward to this series. Take care!

This video has to be one of the most well documented stories of Karachi's food heritage, and Nadir Nahdi is an absolute legend.

This one hit home. I can’t wait for more! As an adoptee from Nepal to the US, going back as an adult was scary, fun, and full of surprises. You captured so many of those raw feelings of someone going “back” to a culture you don’t really know or fully belong to. Food is an ice breaker that also won my heart in Nepal. It seems the same for you in Pakistan. ❤

Loved every bit of it. Being someone from Karachi and then moving away, food is the first thing after family that I miss the most. Such a lovely nostalgic video and narrated in a beautiful way. Wanted to watch this in peace, without increasing the speed, without any distractions and finally got time to do so. So happy to watch it.

Karachi was about 55% Sanatani (Hindu) at the time of partition. They were more educated, prosperous, individualistic, and ambitious than their Muslim peers. They controlled a disproportionate share of the economy in Sindh. Why were they forced to give it up and leave?
