I've been a BR fan for some decades now and they'll probably accompany me my whole life and I was amazed when I first heard this a few years ago. One of the best albums they ever made, if not the best. BR is a bit like cheese; they matured really well ^_^

BEST PUNK ROCK BAND.

Never really got the hate for this album, from the very first single I downloaded in '10 it was utterly gorgeous to me. Avalon, SOmeone to Believe, and Only Rain are phenomenal- and Graffin's expanded range is seriously killer. Still have no idea where he found some of those high notes!

Wow, you can really easily miss all those oozing aahs if you don't pay attention, just heard 'em first time in the chorus of Pride and the Pallor and got massive goosebumps.

People keep mentioning that there earlier albums where better due to them being faster, and heavier. Which is true, but I have you considered why they chose to make albums like this. I think they are just tired of every album sounding the same. I like there newer sound, it still sticks to their style, but has more shall we say talent. Which I imagine came from them playing over 30 years. Also they are trying to bring in younger crowd, so this explains their cleaner sound. Everyone has their right to opinion. Me I think all their albums are awesome. What they keep is that sensation you get from listening to them. You know goose bumps on your arm, a feeling of inspiration, and that sudden burst of energy you get. A true fan knows what I'm talking about. My favorite band by far...
@ark1a50008 жыл бұрын
+Justin Bennett Ditto my friend!!! That "sensation" is oh so REAL as is the spirit of what they are relaying. My favorite BR album is always their next one! Thanks to Greg and Co. for showing us that it is cool to ask questions and be good and true to our best qualities as human beings....wacho!!!

I don't agree with everything you say, and BR themselves say that the stuff they did in the nineties was more for themselves and albums like this were just not so um awesome,, like how can this awesome by anyone else, but, to me, nowhere near as good as Against the Grain and if you want that difference from that golden era, Recipe for Hate Was Different stylistically. But at least we agree, BAD RELIGION are the greatest band ever. And I must admit I was in rehab when I got this album... But I do respect your thoughts and love of the best band in the world ever😊

Just a bit slower, but still doing it well. Oddly enough, the whole band is full of kings of punk.

This album was a big step out of BR's comfort zone as of a slower and more smooth punk rock to if you didn't know better between the difference of just rock and punk rock, you'd think this is alt rock.

Well, I rate No Control as a 10/10, so I rate True North a 7/10. It's still in my car as I drive to school. With a bunch of RA and Nofx albums too, but I can't get True North out of my car's CD player. How'd you like it?

Everyone talks about this albums melody. What about all the lead work? Took a bit to warm up to, but now one of my favorites by them. Only Rain has been my favorite BR song since it came out. A cool I Want to Conquer the World vibe.

I've been listening to Bad Religion since I was about 7 years old. I jumped on the bandwaon and took a listen to Into The Unknown and appreciated it for what it was, a solid rock and roll album. I love all styles and influences this band has embraced and molded to their own unique sound. Everything from How Could Hell Be Any Worse? To Back To The Known, Suffer, Generator, Recipe For Hate. If you ask me there are maybe a handful of albums that actually have that similar No Control sound. Every album in my opinion brings something new to the table and every time has knocked me on my ass and picked me back up after the last track played. I appreciate this album for everything it has to offer. It's a milestone in a career these dudes built from blood, sweat and tears. If you truly love Bad Religion then you are more than just a fan of their music. You're part of a family. I'll be 27 soon. That's a solid 20 years BR has been playing in my Walkman, spinning in my CD player, turning on my record player. I respect everything this band has taught me. If you listen to this record and just expect to hear the same old bad religion album then you are not really listening at all.

Bad Religion fan through and through but they kept on with weak albums since New Maps of Hell. They finally came roaring back with True North. Even their new Christmas Song album rocked harder than this album did. New Maps of Hell might as well have been an abortion. But like I always say, the worst Bad Religion song is better than most bands best.

I got an idea for all of us fans ..... make a band .....and last 30 years ....dont hate....unite...evolve......make it last ......you're only allowed to your entitlement of your opinion. to your own self ....your 1000 points of downarray ....only make me think of the Neanderthalic point depicted by gregg ......remember about evolution? so do I ......it's punk rock.....love em or split......for all that you say ...it won't make a difference to the BAR family......I wish you all well ....but please remember ...and make no mistake......make your own record and sing like you love or would like to sound like ...in the meantime.....keep it to yourselves if you throw them ice picks or fire sticks.......fan or half fan ......it don't no difference .... but we love you all thanks for your comments..... sincerely ......Brett's chef!

You Commented: "I don't really like Bad Religion, but this record is a MASTERPIECE!" ... and by "don't", you mean "do not have the *type the reverse of the opposite of what I mean* disease", of course. Well let me encourage you to hop right out of those doldrums, senor! A cure for a malady exactly such as yours is being sought - you'll be apprised of developments as they are reached.
