I have a chance to visit this beautiful city for one week, but don't know how to start my trip, do I need a transportation to go anyway, or I can join the tour that is arranged by the hotel, for we have a conference at Klosterschanke Kloster Banz, can you give me some idea?

Olivia Jen Kloster Banz is about 5 to 6 km away from Bad Staffelstein. Further, the way up to Kloster Banz is a bit steep. I am not totally sure but public buses from Bad Staffelstein to Kloster Banz seem to be rare or maybe not available at all. I am not sure where your hotel is located but most probably transportation by bus or taxi needs to be arranged to go to Kloster Banz. In Bad Staffelstein I would recommend you to walk thru the old inner city which is not so big. Further, there is the Obermaintherme (thermal spring) which is really nice. If you want to do some hiking I would recommend you the Staffelberg, a small mountain next to Bad Staffelstein. I do not remember exactly but I think it takes roughly 90 minutes to get up. From there you have a wonderful view. Then, about 4 km away from Bad Staffelstein there is Vierzehnheiligen, a really beautiful Basilica. For example, one can walk there from Staffelberg and then back to Bad Staffelstein. However, then it becomes a hike for whole day. In the area there are more things to see.
