I AM SO GLAD THAT I FINALLY GOT THIS ANSWER! After 7 months of driving my 2012 GMC Acadia and it driving fine one day and then having all of these issues the next... its nice to have a clear answer for once. Mine all started with a "Service Stabilitrak warning" and "reduced engine power". For some reason, the shop/dealers are useless and couldn't figure that out for me.

Throttle body does make the rpm variations and engine runs rough. A faulty crank sensor too give same symptoms with starting issues. There are other reasons too. Can say unless its diagnosed properly.

Hi there, delayed deceleration can be a symptom of sticking throttle body or idle air control valve. This can also happen if the evap system has a leak or even a vacuum leak.

I guess not. As a preventive you could just clean the throttle body n air intake sensors.

yes it absolutely can. "I guess not" is not a professional answer. If your throttle body is very dirty, or actually damaged it will give you power loss, and it will prevent you vehicle from gearing normally, causing a slippage sensatiion, or you might actually feel the vehicle jerking. Just unplug the maf and drive..see if the car becomes better. If yes then surely it's the maf sensor.

Yup absolutely it will show a CEL if throttle body has a problem. Mostly when tps has an issue.

I have a 2006 GMC Sierra andI got the throttle body fixed because the mechanics computer said that's what was wrong. My truck was acting up as I excelrating my rpm was moving up and down only when going from 30-60mph and could hear an engine rev soun everytime it did it. I ended up getting a bead new throttle body put in and it still does it. Also I just got the purge valve fixed because it does a rough idle everytime I put gas in. Do you think maybe the throttle body is what was wrong the whole time maybe not being put in right. It's still doing it after a new throttle body and it does idle after gas anymore. Do I need to get the throttle body looked at again or something else. Thank you

A jumping rpm can be a reason of crank angle sensor or even transmission slipping can too cause especially im auto. If you have a wire drive accelerator pedal, the potentiometer could also do the same which messes the throttle body up. Have to diagnose it properly and professionally.

May be... any air restriction like throttle body clogs, air filter, sensor damages or fuel restriction like clogged fuel filter, failing pump etc.. can cause the issue. also a bad crank angle sensor. Should go through each one to resolve.

Hi there, this could be throttle body also this may happen if there's a fuel restriction ie, dirty fuel filter or failing fuel pumps. Replace the air and fuel filter if too old and give check on throttle body, air intake sensors and fuel pump or fuel line pressure.

Might have messed up TPS or there's a chamce for vacuum leaks. Try calibrating the sensor manually n check for loose clamps or broken pipez

Hi, my audi a4 b7 intermittently goes into limp mode only when slowly accelerating from a stop. Car doesn't go into limp mode at cruising speed. If the engine goes to limp mode, its mostly bcs of engine malfuction and not transmission malfuction. There are many reasons for the car to go safe mode. Its a good idea to scan the vehicle first so to get the fault code stored by the ecm.

Rpm going high is good sign of throttle position sensor going crazy or there's a vacuum leak somewhere. As the check engine light came on, could just scan the car to get the codes poped up.

Fuel rail pressure cannot be an outcome of throttle actuator or vise versa. Cant say that bcs of electronic controls. The rpm going high is because of throttle and the power restrictions may be of the fuel regulator. Best will be to clean the throttle body first as the dirt can sometimes cause valve stickiness so it wont shut properly. Do it first before swapping parts and see if anything changes.

Do check if its covered in dust and gently try to move the valve...it should move freely with no stickiness. Try cleaning and if it does not work...there are other sub parts like tp sensor, motor failure if electronic, pedal position sensor issues etc...

It should be the carburetor type. More commonly when the float or the float needle goes bad, causes the flooding. There re other like, if its a electric pump fed carburetor, a bad regulator can cause the similar issue. If the airfuel aduster is not calbrated properly, if the fuel orifice has a problem. If there's too much pressure inside the fuel cavity inside the carburetor. If the seals in the housing has cracks or leaks or a vacuum leak.
