As already mentionned by someone, the gold woman represent Dolores as she appears in the original video (that's why I told you about the original in my message). The glass wall represent the separation between life and death and that's why their hands can't touch. You can see at a moment that the golden woman is writting on the paint "1-15-18", which is the date Dolores passed away. As I said you, this one is for me more an hommage than a simple cover. Thank you Maddy 😉

The female is a representative of Delores if you saw the video of the original you would know this and the clear wall between her and the band is a representative of life and death

a moving tribute to the late (R.I.P.) Dolores O'Riordan.....she had a hard life in Ireland complete with family dysfunction......aside from her musical legacy, Dolores actively sought recognition of and $$$$ for children trapped in war zones across this troubled world.......I think the actress covering the glass wall is a metaphor for her leaving us, a reference to the Cranberries' video images.....we miss her music and her heart......

Sadly, in the close to 30 years since the original release, instead of learning to get along, we've added another way to kill people in war. "With their tanks, and their bombs, and their bombs, and their guns" became "With their tanks and their bombs, and their guns, and their DRONES". What's in our heads indeed. RIP Dolores

I think you did well without knowing the background of the video. This is one where it is imperative to see the original video first, where Dolores represented the sadness and pain in Heaven (The Gold) at the foot of the cross over the 100+ yrs. religious war in Ireland with both sides claiming to be Christians. Specifically, the video is about children killed collaterally as a horror of this civil war. Watch the first video and it will all come together. Literally , tears in heaven.

Thanks for playing this. You might do a little research about the song and watch the Cranberries version. This song is about war and innocence lost and innocence taken. Bad Wolves updated it slightly with its lyrics which were slightly changed, to basically say nothing has changed in regards to war other than the instruments of destruction. The women in gold is supposed to be Dolores O'Riordan. The date inscribed on the glass that Dolores & Tommy cant break thru is the date she died. Again thank you for playing this epic song.

The girl in Gold was meant to represent Deloris ( its how she was in the original video).. She has left the world and is now separated from the music.. the hand print on the glass.. the date she died.. the inability to touch the lead singer.. That piece of glass held most of the artistic expression of the cover music video..

the original was released in 1994 (4 years before the Good Friday Peace Agreement between The Republic and Northern Ireland) and expresses lamentation about the death of two children by the Irish Republican Army in the 1993 Warrington bombings. Through this music, The Cranberries pointed its way to protest against the war, which was strong and high-profile. Many lives were lost during the 30 year war between Catholic and Protestant terrorist groups and this song is symbolic of the suffering on both sides Go n'éirí an t-ádh libh ☘ Respect & Peace ☘

The Cranberry's song Zombie is about an event that occurred on March 20, 1993, when two bombs, planted by the Irish Republican Army (IRA), exploded in the northern English town of Warrington. The blast from the second bomb injured dozens of people, but most cruelly claimed the lives of three-year-old Jonathan Ball and 12-year-old Tim Parry. The political conflict and violence committed by the IRA has been going on since 1916.

The song was originally written following a bombing by the I.R.A. In Warrington,Enland, when 2young boys were tragically killed, amongst other victims in another act of senseless violence. It was a cry for peace in a troubled time in Norther Ireland, that was often brought to to the shores of England.

The gold woman represents Dolores. In the original video, she was the golden woman. You should definitely watch the original music video. This is music history and Dolores has a unique voice. As you can see, you don't end the video again. There are 10 seconds left in which there is also still content. Why don't you finish the videos?

Yes, great song, great cover, great video. No one comes close to Delores' voice and passion during this song, but if anyone ever could it would be Tommy. BTW... the reason everyone wants that guitar solo to be longer is because ... ESP Guitars. They are next level instruments, and ever since that one saved James Hetfield's life in Montreal they have a mythical/magical quality about them.

I've got mixed emotions by this song.. When it got released (by the Cranberries) I loved it, it was the time when such badass heavy rock songs did not often got on the radio because it was 'too loud'. But after I've heard it like constantly I've started to dislike it.. Yes it's a nostalic song from the 90's and I still like to remember it as that but sometimes new bands don't (shouldn't) have to take credits for covering old school bands/artists songs to get their fame. I love cover songs between music styles, but this was not not a huge difference in style.
