This is the bandish in Raag Kamod the duo rendered along with their father Pandit Hanuman Prasad Mishra at The banks of Ganges in Varanasi which in 1990 appr. and it was heavenly feeling listening to three of them - Father and Two sons. The Duo were much younger then - 30 years back. Heartfelt condolences on demise of Pandit Rajan Mishra due to COVID-19 on 25th April 2021 in Delhi. The performance was part of festival organized by Times Music Festival on the banks of river Ganges late evening . I was on tour to Varanasi on that day. Master of ceremonies comments after their vocal performance: कटोरे में कटोरा, बेटा बाप दोनो ही गोरा!

Has that rendition been recorded by someone if so pl let us also relish.

@@vijayyogi5869 I did see the organizers were recording that event and should be available with Times Musical Festival who conducted that event. Try, if you can get one thru your contacts. I was relatively young and smartphones were not yet introduced - not even cell phones were freely used.

This is one of the bandish composed by 'Sadand' in 18th century. Great! So nice to hear 'Sadarang' Bandish. Sadarang (Naimat Khan) composed these bandisheyns in 18th Century. His contribution to hindustani Classical sangeet is immense. He included the word 'Sadarang' in his bandisheyns, as in this case. I have heard 'Sadarung' bandishys beautifuly rendered by Pt. Jasaraj (raag Bhimplasi - ja ja re apney Mandirva ja ...), Rajan Sajan Mishra (Raag Kamod - Ei ree jaaney na doongi...) and many others.

This composition is much older thn 18th century..taken from Meerabai. Here kaara is Krishna... Kare jaane na doongi...

Absolutely correct. The love of Meera for Yogeshwar Shri Krishna was divine. These Mughal apologists twist facts and have almost erased the glorious Bharatiya past. @@mussooriemusings2109

This composition goes back to the times of Meera Bai in 15th century...Kaare jaane na doongi... is Meera talking to Kaara Krishna. Some people think Sahir Ludhianavi wrote the lyrics for Chitralekha in the 1960s..some people say 18th century. B

The bandish was written by Muhammad Shah Rangile. It was not expected from Shahir Ludhiyanvi.
@vikaskhandekar1342 Жыл бұрын
Except for the first line, the entire song lyrics are of Sahir. Let's not be too harsh on him on this. One more trivia for you in a similar context: Film Mujhe Jeene Doh.. Song: Nadi Naale Na Jao Shyam Paiyyan Padoo. It is a traditional song. Sahir did not take credit for it. His own original poetry is so rich that he never had to plagiarize and never had to take credit for others'creations. 🙏

one mistake sir it was written for muhammad shah alias ranglia by his poets duo sadarang and adarang in which sadrang worte this u will get his name in between bandish. His contribution for our music is immense in form of bandish.

@@tanmay4516 That's a lie. Quoting @mussooriemusings2109 from the above comments - "This composition goes back to the times of Meera Bai in the 15th century...Kaare jaane na doongi... is Meera talking to Kaara Krishna." Mughal apologists like you have done a disservice to the Bharatiya Sanskriti.
@tanmay4516 Жыл бұрын
then tell me respected sir why pandit ji uses name of sadarang i between the bandish . which means you are fare greater a maestro than pandit ji him self and am not a mughal apologists take back those word am a free speech abosolutist and for you kind infrmation sir at time of meera bai even the haveli sangeet was not that popular it was dhrupad that was in use in courts. And you can not deny the contribution of poet duo for the badishes thye created which are still sung today in all gharana of hindustani shastriya sangeet.@@mousiqi go to 5:33 seconds n slap it on your face rightly
