In this vedeo I will share with you my knowledge and experience regarding three multifuel stove kits that you can put together without breaking the bank. Each of these kits is comprised of two components: Plan A - a wood burning stove platform, and Plan B - an alcohol burner that utilizes the wood burning aspect as a wind screen. Enjoy! Some good kit you have there that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. I’m on my 2nd IKEA stove now. So many meals and fires. Lixada a is very underrated company. Most of their stuff is reliable and more budget friendly than others. Thanks for sharing.

Jeff-I, too, am a fan of the Fancy Feast stove. I’ve made a couple and have played with the height of the tomato paste can so I now have a fast boil and a slower, simmer version. For a fire I bought a firebox stove on sale for 35 bucks. Much heavier than your titanium, but light enough for a bike trip. I didn’t know any better! Thanks for the video.

The trick with the fancy feast has always been about dialing in the proper height of the tp can. But hells bells, that's half the fun. I'm curious to know how your fire box stove performs. My titanium version is a love/hate relationship. But I must say, it burns hotter than a one night stand. Cheers from Montreal QC 😊

I have a no name wood gas stove that has wider cylinders. The plus, is that it doesn't tip as easily. The minus is that it has wider cylinders. So it's slightly harder to pack. The fire boxes that pack flat are too fiddley for my tastes. I have a Lixada stainless steel jobber, and it warps too. The major plus is how flat they pack.

I know the stove you're referring to. It's often called a scout stove. MSR makes a pot that the whole thing nests perfectly inside of. I think it's either a 750 ml or 1 liter pot the locks together with the lid. Cheers 😊

@jspate61 Quebec city is great , maybe get some video of the old city , I used to work in petit Champlain (lower quebec city) just below chateau Frontenac, in a little restaurant called ,Le Lapin saute. I believe it's still there .. I reside in ottawa Ontario now

Well, jeez. I have to confess, along with being a cheap bastard, I'm also a sometimes collage artist. Nothing serious, mind you. Just enough to keep me off of the heroine. Some folks calls it therapy. I think I made a short video a few years ago showcasing this crap. If you've got the patience, scroll through my KZbin feed sometime.
