Looks very cool! I love that silver part in his belly, and the tank threads on his feet/arms, just like in the G1 toy.
@Jaco5349 жыл бұрын
Hey bro, great vid! Don't forget, I know its a lot but under his arms in the joint area, there is a peg. You have to wiggle the black circular joint up and push it onto that peg, then slide the top of the shoulder over to lock it. It makes the arms stiff and stay in any position.

According to the pictures from BadCube he's around the height of the carbots in bot mode, which was intentional because his most consistent scale in the Sunbow show was around that height. He was rarely drawn as short as the other mini-bots. Some will like it, some won't but that's the reason. Watch "A Decepticon in King Arthur's Court" for an example - he's about as tall as Hoist through the whole episode.

I would say that is one of the most interesting transformations ever. There have been to accurate Warpath figures, and one that's a terrible homage (Legends generations Warpath. Because he so totally had a pistol.)

The size feels right to me. As a kid having the G1 Warpath I always wished they would make one that was tank sized. Wardog makes more sense to me.

Nice review. The arms seem a bit short. Do the shoulders rotate back 90 degrees to give my access to the lower arms?

Looks fantastic. I love the complex transformation design too, but I'll have to pass on him unfortunately. Both Apollyon, MP10 and MP Wheeljack has blown out my hobby funds for most of the year.

the transformation looks cool but hard. I like the way he looks in the robot mode. nice!

Quite the feat of engineering. I don't see many people transforming this guy alot, but he does seem to be a really nice homage figure...bigger than I thought...but nice. As always, great review !!!
@Arbitor19 жыл бұрын
This just seems like such an overly complicated transformation for Warpath, what I loved about the generations toy was the great poseability and simple transformation
@chem.49199 жыл бұрын
He looks good!! I also appreciate his size. I know his original toy was a minibot but it just seems wrong for a robot that turns into a tank to be the same size as a robot that turns into a vw bug.. Besides wasn't he about the size of Ironhide and some of the other deluxe car bots in the cartoon?
@michaelw36349 жыл бұрын
I like the bigger Warpath. He always should have been big as a tank. Remember his one time in Animated? He was giant.
@likeits19859 жыл бұрын
Thanks for taking the time give us an advance look at this figure. I'm not a fan of the transformation - it is a mess until everything gets tabbed into place. A fine looking tank mode, but that side profile in robot mode is terrible with that humpback backpack. The scale is odd as well, but I am certain diehard Warpath fans will appreciate a large figure. A nice effort, but this figure is not a definitive Warpath. Until something better comes along, Hasbro's Generations Warpath is still fine by me.
@youmongrel9 жыл бұрын
likeits1985 Agreed, anything that relies on a bunch of posts is like a glorified partsformer - because you are literally separating the parts as far as they'll go. Apollyon I can forgive because of the always-challenging alt mode, but I don't like it here. And I can't believe they didn't include a simple telescoping on the barrel considering the complexity. He does look neat, but doesn't feel like the right scale compared to Huff & Bee where I'd be placing him.
@wallastoyreviews9 жыл бұрын
likeits1985 I agree on the transformation. Seems too fiddly to be fun. The modes both look nice but I think I'd get mighty frustrated trying to go between them, especially when I want to get it done quickly. I think that while Hasbro tends to simplify things too much nowadays, they sometimes are capable of making brilliant parts/time efficient transformations that make you wonder why you didn't think of it yourself. I'd like to see TakaraTomy tackle Warpath in Masterpiece and see how their conversion would look like.
@lynansheng9 жыл бұрын
youmongrel I'm pretty sure he's supposed to be an M551 Sheridan in vehicle mode, so the gun barrel is about the right length, it's just not of large enough bore. But other than that he's a great Sheridan. upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/5/5b/M551_Sheridan_Tank_Presentation.jpg/800px-M551_Sheridan_Tank_Presentation.jpg

Should've put MP Smokescreen in there, since in G1, there were a couple scenes with Smokescreen & Warpath. Other than that, looks like a fantastic figure.

I think the arms have another step to transform, his hands should be by his knees with the shoulders sitting a bit lower than his head?

I like but not for $120. I've had to reconsider my collection. I guess I will be finishing up my FT dinobots but I will have to be cutting back on these overpriced toys until they drop their price. I think they would if people would band together and stop paying outrageous prices for them. They can profit well and cut the price in half I'd be willing to bet. Right now, they are just sorely overpricing these and they still come out defective at times.

It feels like they decided to use 20 steps to solve 2+2 instead of, well, one. Just too intricate and complicated for what it's supposed to be. The color is the only really nice thing on it, and it's just too big to fit any shelf of mine.

I don't like it. The size is great and the altmode is nice, but it doesn't hold a candle to Hasbro's deluxe, which has almost no kibble in either mode. Unless you absolutely hate H-tanks, the deluxe is superior. There's a fine line between great engineering and over complicating a simple design and Wardog is def over complicated.
@Doctors_TARDIS9 жыл бұрын
It doesn't roll? That's a bit disappointing. You'd think they'd stick some wheels on the bottom plate or something. Not a deal breaker but disappointing.

i'm sure they meant for him to fit in with the masterpiece figures, but he REALLY doesn't, the aesthetics, the size,.. it just doesn't fit. it's a shame. it's also a little too complicated for what it is. it's a cool looking figure in both modes.. i just don't think it fits where it's meant to fit.
