I would love to see a channel from you. I'm on a low income as well, with no side hustle and all I see of people getting out of debt are either higher income or married couples. Of course you can get out of debt when you have two incomes. 🤦♀️ So a channel by someone in your situation would be welcomed.

I know this is an old comment. But I remember her saying something like see where you can cut your budget by 20% and then save that 20%. That’s where you can start. Hope that helps.

For your tax envelope if you feel comfortable w it you could switch out the bills for 1k slips and just put the money away in your safe until you reach 5k? That way you give your envelope a break bc it looks like it’s about to burst open lol I finally started budgeting and in two weeks I’ve saved nearly $200! I’m so excited and thank you Jaz for all your videos explaining your process! ❤️

I really really appreciate you showing the cash withdrawals and envelope stuffing for your bills. You could easily keep this in your bank account and just do an automatic withdrawal but I've been withdrawing cash for my bills alongside you and it has been so helpful. Really made a difference. Thank you!!
@mrsstrawberryluv1 Жыл бұрын
It's make hugh difference cause you get to keep the change from what you don't use but when the bank do it you don't unless you got keep the change program you barely see it then 😂

This is helpful because I was a year ago I started a 3 month ahead plan for my necessary expenses (I separated the year into quarters basically so that when I got to the next quarter the bills were already covered) but recently my income changed and I’m not able to be able to get back on like I was. So, this was motivating and practical for me to get myself back into a space of being 1 or 2 months ahead and continuing it

My month ahead is moving slow, but it's moving which is what I need. Waiting for my car insurance to finally go down so I can really knock out 6mo savings on time, but it's way too much to be able to do for my budget right now. Just doing what you said for a month ahead fund, just start it and it'll grow as you add as much as you can allot in your budget.

I want to start a month ahead but my hours got cut and in a weird way so I only have a couple hours in the morning and an hour in the middle of the afternoon before a second shift , so my paycheck sucks right now. Which is more reason to be prepared but also makes it hard. Idk even if I just do like one bill ahead at a time or something

Yep. Start Small. Especially if your income is cut short. Honestly, focus on being able to cover everything first then when your money is back consistent you can focus on getting a month ahead.

I want to start a month ahead fund but I gotta crunch my numbers to find out the goal amount 💰 I would have to pause my emergency fund a little when I do the month ahead because I can’t contribute a huge amount for both at the same time. Or I won’t pause the EF and only put smaller amounts at a time. I’m over $1K in it so I feel like it’s a good cushion because a month ahead seems like a life saver

Started a month ahead fund in the beginning of the year. It is going slow but is growing, now up to $56. In a few month I will have enough to get 1 bill & keep adding in slowly. I figure by the end of the year I can be a month ahead on all of our main monthly bills. Electric though is going to take a looong time to build up🥴.
