My 6 year old is a huge Jojo Swia fan. I found out she is coming to our state in a few months. And because of your advice and your videos I was able to pay for the tickets and a suprise box with a bunch of jojo items without my credit card 🥰 it felt so nice.

You dont know how true this is. I grew up poor, the ghetto, then foster care, then phased out the system and found my life just tanking. Found myself homeless, with kids, in debt, and a hot a** mess of a life. It wasnt till like 5 years ago when I got tired of living off min wage, struggling, and having no goals for myself. No one ever taught me about money, no one taught me how to budget, ppl kinda just looked down on me and watched my struggle and commented to themselves. And no one talks about money. Its private. But i finally got tired and I got angry. Now to be honest I'm still struggling, low income (but I'm making changes and make more than min wage) and a hot mess, but I'm learning and growing and figuring it out for my kids and myself. Your so helpful, encouraging and motivating and I thank you for all your videos.

I am a single mom. I lived paycheck to paycheck and never had money. I started with the Budget Mom and moved to this community with cash envelopes and sinking funds. But budgeting and being accountable for every penny spent I realized that I spent on stuff I didn't need. I found out I could save. I now have sinking funds for future things, like car maintenance, tags for cars, birthdays and this years Christmas is completely funded by cash. I thank you and this budgeting community on KZbin to teach me how to budget and save!

I totally agree with your Suggestion encouraging people to start NOW! I re-started in October and will run it through next December 2022. Start now and bring in the NEW YEAR READY...even if it's only a few dollars. Use this time to get set up, plan what Categories you want to save for, which challenges you want to do and put $1 in each for now....just START! You can definitely do IT!

Jaz, I don't know you personally - but your videos either make me laugh, or make me cry. lol I find myself watching your videos as I work and If i can't fully watch them, I listen to them because your voice is soothing and your words are truth. I am not a woman of color, but I am a woman. My husband is African American and our 8 year old daughter is a perfect mixture of both of us and my goal for her is to teach her all about finances and saving/giving early so when she get's older, she has a good relationship with money unlike myself. I have to mentally train myself to be positive towards money and it's a struggle daily but I 1000% agree with you on finding your own WHY and what makes YOU happy and gives you that prosperity - mentally, emotionally and financially. I'm so glad I have found your channel and can take something from it. Thank you for being beautiful!

I have a few savings challenges I'm doing and I don't get to add to all of them each paycheck, but each month when I get my larger paycheck, that's when I get to make up for those ones that didn't get any money during the month and when I can, even just adding a dollar is better than not adding anything to if I can. Through watching your videos each upload and just following you, I've been able to change things to make my budget better for me as well as be able to already have money saved for next years events and it's such a great feeling.
