Badenoch is ill-advised to take on Farage. The tories wasted 14 years of opportunity! The tories are toast.

The Tories really took their membership for granted. They ousted Truss who they voted in then didn't even allow them to vote when they replaced her with Sunak. It was incredibly short sighted and easy pickings for Reform.

2M under Churchill, that is an interesting stat. Kemi put her foot straight in it and Farage won't let her get away with it. In the recent by-elections, Tories, Reform and Liberal Democrats demolished 40% of Labour's councillor seats. Labour are certainly concerned about Reform.

The Tories are out of the equation for a decade, at least, but Labour ought to put their wax jackets and wellies on, and concentrate on the countryside types a bit more.. They've got a couple of years to make up for making the landowners pay half as much inheritance tax as everyone else and there's a lot of poverty to play on. The constituencies are small but they all need an MP, which is why Farage is sniffing around them, pointing at the foreign workers, the landowners are employing because they don't want to pay the locals. The locals need to realise this because where I live, most of them blame the immigrants and think Farage is funny and "no nonsense", when all he is is a crypo-fascist and Labour are letting him win them over.

What is meant by “the right” ? Neither Conservatives nor Reform are radically capitalist. Reform are very similar to old Labour, they are protectionist and socialist on the economy and traditionalist culturally. Badenoch seems to me to be ideologically opposed to the liberal left, but generally has no idea what she is for.

I have listened to people who have joined Reform speak on the radio today. They were all ignorant of his policies. One of which is French style healthcare where you have to pay for treatment upfront, then try and claim it back if you meet the criteria, while making a tax contribution for it also. But, as with Trump, the easily fooled by an empty promise and a big smile, vote for the entertainer. Boris was one of them. He partied and lied and made a terrible Brexit deal which hurts farmers today, they protested in March this year about that. Don't mention the fishermen or small/med businesses, or the UK economy. Stupid people love empty promises, to be told that their lives will improve by believing in them, and to be entertained. This has caused most societies to fail over history. Also Mussolini and Hitler both had great charisma, promised the earth and caused great harm through division and hate.

The Liberal Democrats are the natural home of disaffected one nation Tory voters, but for many Conservative and indeed Labour voters mass immigration is the hottest issue. The Tories have had their chances so Reform will not just collect their votes they will hoover them. Another issue that could blow up is net zero, people are never going to relish being forced off the road and here the Liberal Democrats could take a hit along with Labour. Again who will have the most voter friendly policy? None other than Reform.

I also know that of all the things the Nigerian citizen, who is the CEO of the party that has less members than Reform, could have raised as important issues the Labour Party (336,400 members I now know) are failing on she chose this instead. She has the national interest of the U.K. as a priority as a Nigerian pretending to be British would have and all the political acumen of a submarine door.

Why not address the difference in legitimacy between Kemi & Mr F ? Whether you agree or vote for Kemi or not, at least she is in her position by a legitimate, well documented & democratic process where the Members had a say. None of this process exists with the Reform Company which masquerades as a political party with none of the attributes of a real one. Perhaps a Judicial Review of the Electoral Commission's anointing of Reform Ltd. and its miraculous change to a party is called for.
