I was lucky enough to meet Andrew a few years ago in Dallas. After a show I asked our waitress if she could have him sign my custom made from a client lil dicky prayer candle. The manager wasn't having it and I totally understood but tipped her an extra $20 in cash for just trying in thr first place and finding a sharpie, she totally didn't have to. The manager saw and immidiately rushed my friend and I into the back to meet him. Idk what changed but being nice to the wait staff and a lil cash goes a long way. Andrew was SO NICE. Andrew loved the candle and we took a photo and didn't want to waste his time so right before we walked out I told him how much Whiskey Ginger got me through Covid. He immidiately became so warmed up like that never got old or lost on him. A really amazing aura. The interaction was brief because we didn't want to invade his time or the workers but he never made us feel rushed or awkward. They say never meet your heroes but he is worth meeting.
