I had a friend who was working for an electronics concern contracted to British railways who was part of the Advanced Passenger Train project. One of the "spin offs " from that was the speed selection system used on Avocet (89001) ... basically a "cruise control " like a car would have but the intention was to have a fully integrated system based on CAPT with trackside radio balises giving line speed and advanced signal indications in cab.

When I think of Azuma, Satsuma comes to mind! :-D I like to imagine that after the end of this scenario, that the tour will go on to Leeds. As that's where the 89 operated to when she was in service.

I dont know why, but i just felt like it was like "Start your engines!" and the HST Just clags up and the Class 89 is just there, then the signal lights swap to green at the same time, having both of the railtours racing off

The Railworld at Peterborough is next to the NVR terminus there, by the two girder bridges. There’s also a really cool model shop called “Trains4U” too. Deffo worth a visit!

Maybe you could create your own scenario where you continue north, perhaps to york, but with a different loco at the front? Great video - I hope the 89 actually does a railtour like this someday too, i'd definitely see it!

Random YY between Huntingdon and Peterborough - you would have caught up with the HST on the climb out of Huntingdon as they struggle to maintain speed. It was probably only running just in front of you most of the way.

i have before tested the 125 thing (on ecml south funnily enough) and what it seems is that at above 115 there's a disparity - if you bring up the stats it'll show you to 0.1mph what you're travelling at and when it's just gone 125 on the speedometer at the bottom the stats say 125.9.

Because of the 125 TS speed glitch, if I use speed set I always set it to 120.

I hate how the simvue GTR 387 reskins don't use the panto. It ruins the realism a bit.

First of all, they are the Superalbs 387 skin, and secondly, I'm pretty sure the pantographs are only down because of how I swapped the trains in the scenario (quickly) so they're all using the coach that defaults to the panto being down instead of up
