Animal showed fake alphas where Sam Bahadur showed real ones. The real role models of our country. I got goosebumps throughout the song. This film is very special for us Indian bengalis.... If Sam Manekshaw's genius had not contributed to the liberation of Bangladesh, we would be the next Kashmir... terror infested from all sides. I have heard real incidents from people about the Pak brutality of 1971 that put horror stories to shame. People literally crossed the border through barbed wires, disguising themselves among corpses, going without food and water for days on end. Thanks to the victory of 1971, Bengalis in Bangladesh got a life of dignity, West Bengal and North East got saved from a terrible fate. Generally most Indian army related movies are made about the Western border, though the struggle in the East was no less. This movie acknowledged that and made so many Indians feel seen. Especially the less talked about sacrfices of the Gorkhas, Mizos, and bengalis.
